Character calls to room?

Does Disney offer character calls to your room for birthdays?

Not that I've ever heard of. Editing to add....it would be chaos for them in the hallways. They would never reach the room they were scheduled to be at 'cause of all the other kiddies they would be running into at each hallway corner! It's really quite funny when you think about it. No, they definitely don't make 'house calls'.

if you ask a cm they can get a character on the phone for you to wish you a happy birthday.... I dont think you can have one call ur room...

But they do have character wake-up calls, or they did two years ago. You can tell your princess they are waking her up because it's her birthday.

I can always do Disney Enchanted Calls on my cell phone like I did last year.

But wouldn't this be awesome?

I can just see Goofy roaming those tiny halls with those shoes, tripping all over people.

Not that characters make "house calls" on the cruise ships, but I did see some characters walking along room corridors on Deck 2 of the Disney Magic in April. It was sometimes a chore to get out of their way. I rode an elevator with Stitch once on the Magic. It was only somewhat awkward.

We did get a call in our room last year for my sons birthday. They also left balloons in our room with a picture of Mickey attached to them. It also had his signature on it. We did not request either of these things but we did have his b'day noted on the reservation. I thought this was very nice of them to do. My son is 17 and it put a smile on his face.

On page 37 of The Complete Walt Disney World, the auther writes that you can receive a call from Goofy on your birthday by arranging a call at this phone number: 407-824-2222.

So, how, exactly, do you make small talk with Stitch while sharing an elevator? I can't imagine being alone on an elevator with a Disney character. They have to stay in character in all guest areas...which means No Talking. I guess Stitch answered you with hand motions and a bit of head nodding. Or, y'all shared that awkward silence. Jeez, how weird that would be!

Hmm...I don't think the Disney Princess included in the Enchanted Calls sound like them..I'd do MM, Pooh, or Tigger.

Also in the parks go to customer service and they will give you a happy birthday call from a character. It is a recording but cool none the less.

I ended up on the elevator at GF with Mary Poppins once. She was practically perfect in every way...
