Our family always plans a character breakfast on our last day at WDW and we want to do the same at DL during our first visit this summer. We love breakfast buffets and all the choices they offer. We will not have passes for the parks on our last day so I am trying to decide between Storyteller's Cafe and Goofy's Kitchen. With a DD15 and DS12 we love all of the characters but really don't need to see that many or any specific ones. I actually think we would prefer the quieter Storyteller's Cafe. Are the buffet offerings much smaller at StoryTeller's than GK? I did read that both offer omelette stations but are waffles, pancakes, and fruit offered at both? DD loves fruit and DS Mickey waffles and pancakes!! Thanks for all your help in planning our trip!! :flower3:

Yes, the Storyteller's Cafe Critter Breakfast buffet is much, much smaller than the one at Goofy's, which is why it is substantially cheaper than Goofy's. Also, there are menu ordering options at Storytellers, but they are rather costly for what you get. The $23 buffet is a better deal there. It may be that your family does not need a huge buffet, and can manage with the more limited offerings at the Critter Breakfast.

Here is a page from Disneynerd420's TR. Check out Post #338 and Post #339 and you will get a good idea of what you can find at Goofy's:

ETA: I always LOVE the fruit at Goofy's - I find it to be extremely fresh and tasty! Goofy's has all the same stuff that you can find at Storytellers...and much more!

I haven't been to Goofy's, but I didn't find Storyteller's to be that quiet. After all, they have wild woodland creatures roaming around! :) DS got to play a bit game of follow the leader (or a conga line? something like that) lead by a ranger and Koda and Kenai...they also had another noisier game going on with them.

Yes, omelettes, fruit, I know Storytellers had the mini waffles in the shape of Mickey, but they bring those out to you, you don't just go get them. Oh and if they say "do you want any Mickey waffles or pancakes?" they are NOT modifying "pancakes" with Mickey...they serve just plain old pancakes. They ought to say "pancakes or Mickey waffles" instead.

Also various sorts of meat (and even morningstar farms veggie sausages, which was thrilling for my veggie self).
