Are you looking under the "Character Meet & Greets Requiring Tickets"?Booking onboard cruise activities on the Wonder (Alaska) this summer. Didn't see Character Breakfasts... are those not a thing anymore Thanks!
When I go to "Add Activities" the only options are: Onboard Fun, Port Adventures, Dining, Nursery, Spa & Fitness. I checked them all and no character meets come up. I know the Royal Gathering is bookable on the same day I'm allowed to check-in, so maybe "Character Meet & Greets Requiring Tickets" will appear then... but it sounds like Character Breakfasts haven't come back yet.Are you looking under the "Character Meet & Greets Requiring Tickets"?
Ok, thanks. And I agree! I'm fine without the breakfast part- I always find it tricky to get my kids to eat while excited about the characters anyway, lol. I know about the Royal Gathering Meet and Greet (cookable on the same day as my check-in) and am hoping they bring back the Frozen Meet and Greet on the Alaska cruise as well...Character breakfast have not returned post covid. The Pixar sialing has a TS breakfast with a little TS show (so no meets) tbh it's better that way cause they could add a lot more regular meets to each cruise by dropping the breakfast and the breakfast was a very quick love and shove photo so little added value imo
Thanks for the tip! I'll watch for other meet-and-greets on check-in day...On my Pixar Day at Sea cruise in January, the character breakfast became available on the Onboard Check-In day, along with Royal Gathering. I think it was under Onboard Fun but I'm not sure. I do know that although it appeared to book up quickly, more reservations opened up and we were able to snag one in the terminal while waiting to board our cruise.
Our first cruise was the Wonder in 2016 and we had to book the character breakfast vs being assigned one.Wow, I am out of the loop. When we cruised everyone was assigned a Character Breakfast on the Magic based on which seating you had for dinner. No reservation required.
No shortage of characters for sure. A constant stream, and I have all the photos. My kids were 12 and 16 at the time so not as big an event as it would have been if they were younger. As I recall, our assigned breakfast was at 8:30 am, and our normal breakfast time on the cruise was 10 am, so a bit early. And we had to go up to the buffet afterwards to get a hot breakfast because our food was all cold because we were too busy taking pictures to eat it when it was still hot!!!Our first cruise was the Wonder in 2016 and we had to book the character breakfast vs being assigned one.
I wish they still had it. We enjoyed it, even with the quick meets.
Thanks!Another thing you can do is watch your navigator app when you get on board, there are some character meets you can book but others that are just scheduled. I also have heard from my friends kids that various characters show up in the kids clubs!
