character breakfasts

Are character breakfasts held everyday or only on sea days? Wondering about getting off at port early for excursion.

In my opinion, the Character Breakfasts onboard are the one thing that DCL could improve. They need to have more characters, for one.

We have gone to several of them on our 6 DCL cruises and each time we felt that the characters never circulated through the room in enough time to see them at your table. A few times we actually had eaten and the characters had not made it our table at all.

We have decided that now we will eat in Topsiders on that morning. I think the breakfast food is better in Topsider's anyway.

WDW definitely has the advantage on the Character Breakfasts!!!

You will be assigned a morning to attend a character breakfast. Although you only attend one character breakfast there are numerous opportunities to see the characters while on board.
mmouse37, sorry that you didn't get a lot of time with the characters. Although I don't remember seeing all the characters at our table we did spend a good amount of time with the 'Big Cheese' and his girlfriend... I found that by taking lots of video and photo's they stuck around a little longer...I would like to see DCL work the character breakfast the same way the breakfast opperates at Cinderella's castle. Each character has a rotation that they need to follow to work the room...

the becka....I totally agree....WDW restaurants really know how to "work the room" for the character breakfast. Don't get me wrong, we had a great time at the breakfasts, but I do feel they need to organize the rotation of characters better. We there for over an hour and only got to see chip and dale. This happenend on three different cruises!!!
