Character Breakfasts

I have never had the breakfast at Chef Mickey's but the dinner is really good. I am a huge fan of character meals. It is so sad when you come home and have to dine without such entertainment!! Where is the fun in that!?!

I am sure you will have a great time!

I find eating breakfast out too stressful for our family. My husband wakes up ready to eat so he finds it hard to wait on the journey and for the ADR to come round. My daughter takes a good hour to build up any appetite so rarely eats anything much. My solution? Character lunches and plently of them!

What character breakfast experiences have you had and where would you recommend?

We have done Chef Mickey's and absolutely loved it, obviously everyone hs different opinions but we are hopefully booking this one for our next trip. We have also done Crystal Palace 3 times and again absolutely loved it and booking for our next trip. The only breakie i would not do again is CRT awful food, awful service, however i looved the princesses bit and look on my DD's face, but you have a boy so prob not the best option anyway :rotfl:

Another thumbs up for Chef Mickey's here as well. :thumbsup2

I don't have kids but my partner and I head on over at least once per trip to "Celebrate with Mickey Mouse!" :)

The food isn't exactly signature dining, but you go for the atmosphere not the the cuisine.

Of course I'm not sure how hygenic it is to swing a napkin over your head that you were just using to catch food... But it is fun! :)

We all liked Chef Mickey's but without a doubt our favourite has to be Crystal Palace. Love it .....

For us it's a family tradition to have a breakfast at Chef Mickey's every trip, we love it and we've never had a bad breakfast even though we've had various different time slots over the years. the place has always been very clean and the staff are very polite and quick to get you any refills of juices teas or coffees and they ask the kids if the want more milk too. The buffet food is regularly topped up with fresh food as soon as it gets down to the last portion there's a new tray or plate full waiting to go out, all the pancakes are made fresh and you can request omelettes exactly how you want them:thumbsup2 Their food is always delicious and fresh even the bagels and the doughnuts(yes you read that correctly) are lovely and fresh , I like the chocolate or fudge topped ones, and you can go back as often as you want. The characters sometimes take a while to get around the restaurant but that's just to be expected at any character meal.
Give it a go and try for an unusual time to go instead of the popular times of 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. or 10 a.m. it can still take a while to have your meal and don't forget to join in the fun. You'll get a pager to let you know when your table is ready and a chance to have a photo taken then off to get the lovely food.

Hi Gems!!:wave2:

Last trip we did Chef Mickeys, Crystal Palace, Cape May Cafe and Tusker House - and by far our favourite for character interaction and most definitely for food was Tusker House. It was amazing!!:thumbsup2

The characters looked so cute in their safari gear and if you get the early seating (I believe it was 8.05am) you are in a prime spot for the safari at opening time!!:thumbsup2

Its definitely the one character meal we won't miss now!! - hope that helps a little!!:lovestruc
