Need help want to book breakfast at ohanas for sons 17th birthday but is it any good as have read that its not buffet but plated !!
2nd would like breakfast at swan or dolphin but cant find any reviews on them ?????anyone been ?
Or is there a good place in Hollywood studios would really prefer characters as we have 2yr old also.. so good dining & characters prefered. Help please as we leave on 22nd Jan !:confused3

We've only done Chef Mickey's character breakfast which was great. I got some extra time with Minnie Mouse as it was my birthday.
Have you had a look at allears.net, there's a section on dining with plenty of reviews.

We have done Crystal Palace and Chef Mickey's. :lovestruc
CP is good for Winnie The Pooh and Friends, but Chef Mickeys is our favourite.;)
We had breakfast there on our son's 7th birthday and all the characters made extra fuss of him, his autograph book is full of birthday greetings and we also bought a gift for Mickey to give to him! - which to this day, he still thinks Mickey got it for him!:lmao:

Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club does a nice buffet character breakfast and if you were wanting to go to DHS you can walk their from the Beach Club or take the Friendship boat.

IMO the character breakfast at Ohanas is fab as the character interaction is superb! It isn't a buffet BUT is served family style and you receive a large refillable skillet of goodies (waffles, sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs and breakfast potatoes) which sits in the middle of the table so you serve yourself from there... Here's a pic from our last time there in August 2006 - you can see the skillet in the middle of the table...

Would recommend Breakfast at Hollywood & Vine at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Lovely character meal with characters from Little Einsteins and Jo Jo's Circus (Nov '08). Buffet style breakfast - v.yummy (we'll continue to eat here when the kids get too old for Playhouse Disney!)

Remember to tell them if you are celebrating a birthday. DS got a card and cupcake (Hollywood&Vine) and DD had a cupcake and Birthday placemat (Chef Mickey's)

We just did the character breakfast at Ohana's on Saturday, it was really good, and I thought good value as well.

You get served hot cinamon roll and biscuit as you sit down, then a plate of fresh fruit, plus all you can drink juice and coffee. Then arrives the breakfast on a plate in the middle scrambled eggs bacon, potatoes and Mickey shaped Waffles, and you can have it refilled with any item(s) as many times as you want, think my wife had 4 waffles :rolleyes1

My Kids are 21 20 and 17 and they loved it, we did it at 10:50 they close at 11am so i thought it might be rushed, we were still having photos taken at 12:00 and had enough to eat we didnt eat again until 9pm that evening popcorn::

There was Lilo and Stitch, Mickey and Pluto, they came to our table twice and we all had photos with them.

oh and before you enter you get the flower necklase and your family photo taken, which then comes in a souvenir cardboard frame with apicture of teh 4 characters as well

Its well worth it $22 each and about half price for real kids:rotfl2:

Winnie the Pooh, Tigger and friends at Crystal Palace Magic Kingdom, this is a buffet and would be ideal for your 2 year old
Chef Micky’s is also good

I may be wrong but I believe that the Swan & Dolphin are not run by Disney although they are on Disney (there are certain hotels on Disney but not run by Disney)
For meals at the Swan:-
http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wd...s=true&restaurantName=&submit=submit&x=19&y=5

For meals at the Dolphin:-

You can now only book Character Breakfasts 90 days ahead, the exceptions are:-
Chef Mickey’s
Cinderella’s Royal Table
Victoria & Albert
these can be booked up to the 19th June 2009 as at 26th December 2008.

To book call 001 407 939 3463, lines are open from noon UK time.

Only one other thing, allow plenty of time to get from your hotel/villa to the Character Breakfast. We stay at the Animal Kingdom Lodge and allow at least 1 hour getting to the Crystal Palace at the Magic Kingdom (and that is by car). It’s not just a case of driving straight to the Magic Kingdom, after parking the car and taking a tram, you then have to spend 20 minutes on the monorail or a similar amount of time by the boat.

I thought it had changed and that all ADR's are now at 90 days?

I have been phoning regurlarly to find out when I could book Ohana for April, I was offered the above three, then on the 26th December I was given the above information.

Cool - thanks. I'll give them a buzz on the 180 day mark as planned and see what they say....oh the joy of planning! :thumbsup2

Chef Mickey's tends to be good for breakfast, Crystal Palace is excellent and so is Tusker House at Animal Kingdom. 1900 Park Fayre nice food but variable character interaction.
