We ate at all four hotel character meals last week. Goofy's Kitchen had the most characters by far and the food was pretty good. We really liked the food at Storyteller's Cafe, but there were only 3 characters. We enjoyed the food and service at Minnie's but there were only 2 characters which we thought was a rip-off because the price was the same as Goofy's. Also, Goofy's, Plaza Inn, & PCH all take triple
AAA for a 1-% discount if anyone in your party has it. Also, we ate at Blue Bayou and found it very expensive and the food not that good. My husband said he felt like we were part of the attraction and did not care for it. We also ate at PCH, Hook's Pointe and ESPN and loved all three. Hook's was a pricey, but great food. ESPN was pretty reasonable as well as PCH - it cost us about $60 with food, tax, & tip. Anytime, we ate in the park it was a whopping $35-40 for burgers or hotdogs.
Here is what we found, I would only do 1 or 2 character meals next time. We took a taxi down to Target(cost$20) and stocked up on water bottle, juice boxes, fruit snacks, honey buns, pop-tarts, goldfish, and various fun candies like Skittles, M&M's - we think this helped everytime we would sit for the parade it seemed like the vendors were there selling balloons and cotton candy, so it helped that we had something sweet and fun in our bag. I would get a loaf of bread and some PB & J for sandwiches and take it to the park. We tried to eat two meals a day out and snack the rest of the time. Also, I would invest in the plastic bottle soft drinks and take them into the park because soft drinks were $2.50 a pop with no refills. We had a wonderful time, and I bet your family will too~
