I am sure this question has been asked a thousand times, and I have done some reading, but figured it would be so much quicker if I just made my own post and asked.

We are making our FIRST WDW trip the day after Thanksgiving. As I am going through all my dining reservations, I am trying to weed out the ones I dont need. That leaves me with a big what to do. I am trying to decide on a character breakfast and was hoping some of you can give me some insight. Which out of these 2 would be better for a family? I have a 9 year old boy and a 2 1/2 year of girl. My choices are Ohana Character Breakfast or a Character Breakfast at the Crystal Palace.

Thanks for you help!

I recommend Ohana...the food is so good and the restaurant is really nice for parents, but the characters were super cute for my kiddo (who was 2 that year and will be 3 when we go back to Ohana in December). Plus, the characters were really interactive with the adults too...so it worked for everyone at our table!

I love that place and can't wait to go back!

will be entertaining. My preference is CP but Ohana wouldn't be too far behind. If you can get one of the earliest ADRs at CP (8:00) on a non EMH morning, walking through a mostly empty park is an eerie but enjoyable feeling.

At O'hana you will not have to go through the park admission lines into MK, on what tends to be a very busy day. O'hana is inside of the Poly, so less traffic and time to get there.

O'hana has Lilo and Stitch. CP has Winnie the Pooh characters.

My preference is CP...I love the Winnie the Pooh characters and it is a great buffet :)

Ohanas also had Goofy and Donald as well as Stitch and Lilo. Stitch was full of antics and funny. Our daughter (7 at the time) loved it!

I would recommed O'hana personally. There it is Lilo, Stitch, Pluto and Mickey. I believe that CP is Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet.

We Love Crystal Palace there is a good variety and I love the Winnie the Pooh characters. Tigger is my favorite. They are both good restaurants I would base it on which characters your kids like.:tigger::tigger:

I love Crystal Palace and have never been to Ohana. I also am a HUGE Tigger fan. So for me-CP. However, I would try soon to make sure you can get the one you want. Thanksgiving is soon!

WOW - this is one for one....

I vote for 'Ohana....

Been there 3 times..and the Hawaiian theme is enjoyable for boys as well as girls....boys usually like Goofy and Stitch....

Little girls will usually enjoy all characters....

The food is really good ...served "Family style"....

"Ohana means Family....and Family means no one ever gets left behind"....

(tear)

Have a magical visit

I agree. This is the better option. Get an early start in the park...then take a break for the little one in the early afternoon. Back to the parks for a full evening well rested. OMG, I'm channelling Bob!:littleangel:

We have tried many of the character breakfasts but find CP to be the best all around experience...the characters have appeal to both boys and girls... great character interraction....they have an adorable parade around the restaurant that the kids can participate in..

Not to mention the great food options..and the bright airy restuarant!

and when you are done...you are right in the heart of the MK!

We went in May and did O'Hana's. I highly recommend it to anyone. It was the best meal we had while on our vacation.:thumbsup2

It's honestly a toss up for me, but my kids are much younger.

Ohana's breakfast is really good and we were exceptionally pleased with the character interaction (Mickey, Pluto, Lilo, and Stitch). Pluto and Stitch kept coming back to our table and playing with the kids and my oldest loved the music conga-line parade.

Crystal Palace will give you the opportunity to stroll down Main Street without anyone else in the park (providing you get a super early ressie before the park opens), BUT does your 9 year old like Pooh?

Both have really tempting points, I think the bulk of your decision will be in which characters you want to eat with.
