I really need some help. This will be my first every character dining experience. I have reservations for 2 at 1900 for May 11th. Ive been reading alot of posts lately and have heard that its not really up to par with other Disney dining. I called an they only gave me a few choices of what was left but they said people cancel and change constantly. Can you guys tell me what the best character breakfast is? Id like to get some suggestions so I can call Disney back and see if there are any openings in the places you suggest. Its for May 11th so I dont have alot of time and may be too late already. Any advice would be welcome!
Thanks:thumbsup2

We ate @ 1900PF for breakfast in 2006. All 4 of us enjoyed it (myself, DH, 2DDs). DH and DD8 found the icecream bar. That turned out to be their favorite breakfast after that. What child (and husband for that matter) wouldn't love to have icecream for breakfast.

Last summer we tried 'Ohana for the first time. It became an instant favorite. We will try for this reservation every trip. Can't wait to eat there again in June.

We ate at The Crystal Palace last year and really enjoyed it. The character interaction was good and the food was really good. I really liked the setting as well.

It depends on a couple things. When you say 2, are both adults? What park do you plan to go to that day? Who are your favorite characters?

MK: Crystal Palace (pooh & friends)
AK: Tusker House (Donald, Mickey, Goofy, & Daisy)
Epcot: Akershus (we saw; Show White, Aurora, Jasmine, Mary Poppins, & Belle was who we took our picture with before the meal)
HS: ?

Resorts:
Cape May Cafe (Beach Club)*
Chef Mickey's (Contemporary)*
*Minnie is at both of these

Some may also recommend 'Ohana at the Poly w/Lilo & Stitch

An idea might be to do a charter meal that does not include the Fab 5 just because you have a better chance of seeing them all over the parks more than some of the others.

We are signed up for Crystal Palace and the Norway Princess breakfast next month. I have heard good things about the CP breakfast. I hope the Princess breakfast is worth it. It was the only princess thing I could get into on short notice.

We've done 1900 park fare for dinner and the character interaction was GREAT the best we've had at disney. The food was good. We are planning to do crystal palace and akershus for breakfast in Oct.

Its 2 adults. I really wanted to do a meal with a princess of some kind but I wanted decent food too since Im sure thats probably the most important thing for the both of us. I called and Cape May, and the Princess Storytime break, and the Crystal Palace had availability for breakfast.
I also had another question, if my breakfast reservations are at 10:55AM, what does that mean for the food? When do they start serving lunch? Will we be effected by this? We really want the breakfast food.

I had a bad experience at Crystal Palace. The floor, table, and buffet were littered with crumbs. The food was cold and obviously picked over. It was awful.

However, I have read good reviews here, so I have decided that something must have happened. They must have had a bad day. Maybe they were short-handed. Something had to have happened.

People have mentioned pancakes made-to-order at Crystal Palace, and we didn't see anything like that. It was as if breakfast was over and they had shut down the buffet. I must have caught them before they cleaned up.

We ate at 1900 Park Fare and thought it was wonderful. Everything was hot and there was a wonderful variety of items. The character interaction was great. It is tied with Ohana's for my favorite character breakfast!

Thank you! This has been the only quote that has calmed my nerves.

We did dinner at 1900 Park Fare last year and I wasn't as impressed as I have been previously. We were thinking of trying it for breakfast this year so hopefully that is better. We did try Cape May last year and thought that was an awesome breakfast. Donalds breakfast at Animal Kingdom was really good too!
