Character Breakfast with the Grinch

Anyone done this before?? Where is it held? How was it?

i haven't done it before but it's at Confisco's.

we have a reservation for December 8th!

We've done the Confisco Grille character breakfast several times... in fact I think I'd be in big trouble if we ever went to Universal and didn't do this character breakfast.

I haven't done it with the Grinch yet, but I would imagine it's a similar experience to the Spiderman / Cat in the Hat / Thing 1 and 2 that we've experienced. We're signed on for December 1st - technically that's before the Dec 3rd winter festivities begin so while our ressie says Grinch, I'm not sure who we'll see.

It's really great... IMHO better than Disney as the restaurant is usually much less crowded and is smaller than most Disney character dining venues. So the characters spend more time at your table interacting versus simply signing books taking pictures and moving on... and if it's really not crowded sometimes they wander back over before disappearing.

How did you get a reservation? I have called over 35 times now and just get an answering machine no one answers.

I'm an emailer... I don't like to call if I can avoid it. I emailed them with the specifications they asked for (listed below from their website). I emailed them on the 18th, they sent me a confirmation email on the 22nd. Not the best response time, but they do reply... if you're going too soon for that, try calling between 9am and noon - you might have better success getting a live person.

For reservations, call (407) 224-4012 or email diningreservations@universalorlando.com For email reservations, make sure to include your name, contact telephone number, and party size along with the date you'd like to attend.

I booked the character breakfast with my vacation package for Dec 30 and I just emailed reservations with my requested time. Thanks for the info.

This is going to be fun. All of you who are going earlier need to come back here and report how it was, preferably with pics.

We have ressies for Dec. 29th...dd loves the Grinch...of course she being a teenager acts like him quite a bit recently...kindred spirits! I am hoping that spiderman will show up too...
