We are visiting wdw July 1st and we're wondering where to have a character breakfast this year. Last time we went to Hollywood & Vine at the MGM and had a great time but would like to try somewhere different. As we're using the UK 10 day ticket there are certain restrictions, namely Crystal Palace and Cinderella's Royal table are not available. The other preference we have is for a buffet breakfast for our oversized (tall) teenagers. Any advice for this Scottish family would be gratefully received - porridge is not necessary!;)

2002(July) - Florida

My husband and I enjoyed the CB (Donald' Breakfastsaurus) at the AKL. We also had fun at Chef Mickeys but it was very loud and fast paced. The AKL was a little quieter and we did not feel rushed. Have a safe and wonderful trip.

If you've got teens, I'd recommend Chief Mickey's. They've got a great "all you can eat" buffet with a wide selection of foods. While it won't be a "quite" meal, I don't think it's too noisey.

Mickey, Goofy, Chip, and Dale are at O'Hana every morning for a wonderful breakfast. It's not buffet, but it is all you can eat. They will bring bacon, eggs, breakfast potatoes, Mickey waffles, fruit, and that AWESOME pineapple bread to your table for you to enjoy as much of as you wish. We love O'Hana for breakfast!

Breakfastasaurus......it was an all you can eat buffet.....plenty of good selections and I do believe that even teens would not object to this place.......we had eight in our party one year (we have done this breakfast at least six times).....and we had a blast.....the last time it was just my husband and myself.......good fun....

Here's another vote for Donald's Breakfastasaurus.
The wait staff is great (very funny) and the food is delicious. (No haggis, though...) :)

My 2 choices would be 1900 Park Fair or Cape May Cafe. I think the food at 1900 Park Fair is the best of all of the buffets. It has different characters that you don't see at the other buffets like Mary Poppins, Alice, & the Mad Hatter. Cape May Cafe is one of our favorites because of the character interaction. It is not as big or as crowded as some of the other breakfasts so the characters seem to spend a little more time. It has a wonderful laid back atmosphere and the food is very good as well. The characters are usually Minnie, Goofy, Chip & Dale in beach attire.

Crystal Palace character breakfast is our all time favorite meal at WDW but since that's not an option, our second favorite is Chef Mickeys. Great food, fun atmosphere and wonderful character interaction.

Here is a vote for the buffet at Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club. The food is very good and it is rarely crowded. Minnie, Goofy, Chip and Dale spend alot of time with each person.

If you love Krispy Kreme donuts, this is the place to go. Or maybe you haven't tried these sinfully yummy rounds of sweetness?? You are in for a treat! Oh, no porridge, but the best grits I have had on a buffet!:D

2 years ago they had Krispy Kremes at Donald's Breakfastosaurus too. We liked Donald's, but found the character interaction rather rushed

Another vote for Donalds Breakfastsorous its great food and fun the characters where a blast last year messing around with u and the cm where great seriously teenagers last year where lapping it up its not corny at all:cool:

Here's another vote for the Cape May Cafe in the Beach Club Hotel. This November will be our 3rd trip to WDW and our 3rd breakfast at the Cape. The food is delicious and the characters are cute, as always. You MUST try the bread pudding with vanilla sauce - scrumptious!

Thanks everyone for your helpful and informative suggestions for our character breakfast. Having read your views, the favourite among the family seems to be Breakfastosauras at AK. There are a number of other appealing possibilities however, so I think it is fair to say that a number of the other restaurants have made their way onto our holiday planner.:earsgirl:

Another vote for Donald's. The food is great and there is so much to choose from. The character were awsome for us and the staff added to the character by plating along with them. It's my DS's only character meal request for this year.
