Character Breakfast Transportation Information

Unfortunetly, there are a lot of guests that are being told that there is no transportation for Character Breakfasts, and that the guests will need to find thier own way. I am writing this post to let y'all know this is NOT true.

The information that Dining gives out is outdated, and NOT accurate. They will tell you that these buses do not exist. They DO exist.

Here is the correct and accurate information:

Buses for the MK and MK Resort Area will start running at 6:30am DAILY.

Buses for DAK/AKL will start running at 7:00-7:15am DAILY.

Buses for the Studios (covering the Epcot Resort Area) will start running at 7:00-7:15am DAILY.

Buses for Epcot (Princess Breakfast at Norway) will start running at 7:00-7:15am DAILY.


This information is valid EVERY DAY, and for ALL DISNEY RESORTS serviced by Bus transportation.


These buses are for Breakfasts only, and should not be used for general park access. Always let the driver know where you are going upon boarding the bus. Most times, the driver will be able to take you directly (ie: Contemporary, for Chef Mickey's) but sometimes this is not possible. As such, you should always allow time for a connection when going Resort to Resort. Actual arrival times will vary by location.


The best transportation advice I could ever give out is that if you ever have a question, TRUST ONLY THOSE WEARING PURPLE PANTS! I know it sounds corny, but the bus drivers will be your best bet for reliable information. All other sources run the risk of not being up to date or accurate. (By the way, for those who might not know me, I am a former Disney Bus Driver.)

Thank you for the info. Am I understanding this right? If I wanted to get to a breakfast FROM WL to AK, the busses start running around 7 or 7:15 a.m.?

Correct. The first Animal Kingdom breakfast bus will show up at Wilderness Lodge between 7:00-7:15. That bus will service Donald's Breakfastosaurus, as well as breakfast at Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge.

We will be at Pop for 6 nights next month & have a 8:00 PS at AK one day.
I am sure we will make it there in plenty of time

Thanks for the information. I was a little confused because we have an 8:05 PS for CRT in the MK. We are staying at GF and the CM told us we would have to use our own transportation. I thought the monorails start running at 7. I can't imagine we have to take a bus to Mk.

We have PS for Chef Mickey's at 7:20 on a Monday in June. We're staying at POR. I thought we'd have to drive, but it sounds like we can still take the bus? Do you think we'll have enough time if the buses start at 6:30 to make a 7:20 PS??

Thanks so much for the info!!! I was going to take a cab to our 8:00am PS at Chef Mickeys. This will really help us.

And Ive always remembered your advice about the Purple Pants. Ive even gotten DH following that rule.

LOL, Tyler, I have to totally agree with you about trusting those wearing the "purple pants"!

We had an 8am ps for Breakfastosaurus, the park opened at 9, and we were staying at POP. I asked at the front desk about transportation and the CM went into the back roon and called Disney Transportation so she would be "sure to give us the correct information". She told us we were to wait at the "special" bus stop, so we did and gradually several people joined us.

Then a couple of buses started arriving at the park bus stops and someone in our line decided that they should confirm that we were in the correct line for the breakfast buses, since no bus was arriving for us. A bus driver came back with him and explained that there was no "special" bus and that to "trust her" and go wait at the park bus stops, in our case, AK.

At 7:15 our bus arrived and we were on our way!

I'm going to print out the schedule, Tyler, for future reference! Thanks!

Correct. The Resort Monorail will start service around 7:00am daily for those staying at the CR/Poly/GF.

For those staying at WL/FW, it's a bit more tricky.

For FW, guests need to take the Orange bus to get to the MK. The Orange will stop at the Settlement, then WL, and then TTC. However, often times if the driver has time, they can take you to the MK directly (they are on tight schedules). Otherwise, just hop on board the Monorail.

For WL, follow the above. Hop on the bus marked TTC, and tell the driver you're going to a breakfast at the MK or whatnot. Depending on schedule, he or she might be able to take you directly.

There was a test on having the boat to the CR start up early... not sure what the status of that is now.

You sure will. Just make sure to be at that bus stop no later than 6:30-6:45. It won't take that long to get there, but it's always best to be EARLY than to be late.

We have a PS at Donald's at AK at 8am. I was a bit worried about getting there on time, but now I know there will be a bus available that will get us there with time to spare!

7:00am. Guests who do not have a Priority Seating will be held back at the gates there until 8:45ish. Those who do have a PS will be allowed to board the Resort Monorail to get to the MK.

Buses run ever 15-20 mins.

Thanks Tyler. I'll shot for 6:30. I won't panic though if we are a few minutes late. It's just DD and I. Grumpy (DH) is going to AK that day with DS so he can hang back.

For an 8:05 CRT, I wouldn't say you'd have to be at the bus stop until 7:15-7:30ish.

for the info. Now, do you have some info. for me?

We will be at the GF and going to the PSB in EPCOT, first seating, 8:30AM. Do we do the monorail to TTC & then EPCOT? Will it be running that early?
Or is there a character breakfast bus for us as well?

Either way, what is the best time for us to leave the GF?

You'll want to catch the monorail from the GF no later than 8:00, and connect with the Epcot train at the TTC.
