We are staying at WL and have a 7:30 am character breakfast at O'hana. The transportation doesn't start according to the website until one hour before park opening. That morning park opens at 9 and the boat and bus would start at 8. I know years ago we did an early breakfast and took disney transportation but I called WDW just to check. After 2 cast members and over 30 min. of phone time neither could give me a definitive answer of what to do?! One said they couldn't say and I would have to check with concierage when I got there (not helpful) and one said they didn't know and put me on hold and then finally came back and said i could take the bus at 6:45 and it would drop off at MK gates?? I said the entrance not TTC and she said the entrance and then we would take the monorail to POLY.

The other option she gave was to get a taxi.

OK so the option is the bus OR I could drive. IF we drive do we park at TTC and would we be able to take the monorail to POLY at 7am. How early does the monorail start running? I think driving may be the way to go. What do you all think?

We have taken a taxi from the WL to the Poly for breakfast before, it is really the way to go. The two resorts are actually quite close together and it was less thatn $10 with tip to take a taxi. It is the easiest option by far. :thumbsup2

The people you talked to are not at WDW and probably may not have been there.

There are special early buses for people with dining reservations, both in and out of the Parks. After you check in at WL go to the Lobby Concierge and either the person there will be able to answer or will talk to the Resort's Transportation Coordinator.

If you drive I would suggest just parking at the Poly. And taxi would be less than $5.00.

You could also take the resort launch from the WL - it starts before 7 AM and you can take it to the Contemporary and then monorail to the Poly.

And if you drive, you can either park @ the Poly and then move your car when finished with breakfast, or park at the TTC and walk over to the Poly (or monorail) - it's close.

what time does the monorail start running in the morning?

This. If you hop on an early morning bus to the MK, ask the bus driver to drop you off at the Poly. It shouldn't be a problem (we have done this before for early morning ADRs at AKL).

Good for you because i have never in all my years ever heard of a WDW bus stopping somewhere other than where it was supposed to stop.

We took a taxi to our Ohana breakfast. It wasn't really expensive - less than $10 - and got us there quickly. From there, you can take the ferry or monorail over to MK or head to the transportation center to get elsewhere. :)

We've been "special delivery" by bus several times. Usually late at night.

OP ~ I know we parked at MK/TTC and used the Monorail for a 7:30 ADR at the Wave. The parking lot was empty, no one at the parking booths and it was us and two cast members waiting for the train.

The MK bus will often drop guests off at CR for Chef Mickeys, but the Poly might be too out of the way.

If you drive you can just park at the Poly. Why park at TTC? We were there a few weeks ago and drove to Kona for breakfast and then just left the car there all day as we were going to Epcot. When we were done at Epcot we took the monorail back to the Poly and then drove back to our resort. Very easy :)

We did the same thing as a PP. We were staying at CSR last year and had a 7:30 am breakfast at Chef Mickeys. We were running across the parking lot at 6:45 am and barely caught the first bus to head over to MK and then from there take the monorail. However, we were the only people on the bus and the driver just dropped us off at Contemporary when he realized we were trying to make ADR. :thumbsup2
