Character breakfast seating

When you arrive at the character breakfast, do they just ask you how many and seat you at an available table or are the tables pre-assigned? We are traveling with a family, and although we are not sitting together at dinner, we thought it would be fun to do breakfast together. Anyone have experience with this?

We were just on the Fantasy and attended the character breakfast. When you arrive at your ticketed time, the greeter will ask how many are in your party and then seat you together. They do fill tables, so if you are a small party (we were a party of 3) then you may be seated with another party. Enjoy!

I'm a cruise newby...and character breakfasts are new to me. Can you tell me how one gets involved in a character breakfast? Do you rush to get tickets on day 1? Thanks!

Tickets can be booked in advance online when your reservation opens up which I think is 90 days before your cruise. They also have some available at guest services on the first day. Its only on 7 day or longer cruises however.

Thank you!! I appreciate the background! Going on our first cruise---15 nights, so I will watch for the character breakfasts. DD will love it!!

On our 14 nighter (WBPC), every dining rotation had one assigned character breakfast. Our servers let us know which morning our character breakfast was...and it was awesome.

Recently? The Character Breakfast was changed to a ticketed event about a year ago. No longer assigned seatings.

Not that they have too many of these, but I believe it also is offered on 6 night cruises, though as you indicate, it is mostly 7 night or longer.

Oh good to know!

Really? The last two cruises (WBTAs 2014 & 2015) have been done as ticketed events rather than everyone assigned on the Magic ship at least so I assumed all were done this way. I wish they would go back to the old way as it meant you got to eat with your servers and your table mates if they came

We were just the two of us and they automatically sat us at our own table, which was great! :) Maybe it's because we were at the very first breakfast, so it was pretty empty.

As an FYI, as this is your first cruise, your booking window will open at 75 days to your cruise. It is 90 days for Castaway Club Silver, 105 for Castaway Gold and 120 for Castaway Platinum.
