We are staying at the Polynesian and would like to do a character breakfast on our last day at either here or take monorail to Contemporary.

Any recommendations? THANKS!!!

We're hooked on Chef Mickey's breakfast at the Contemporary. They have Mickey, Minnie, Chip & Dale, Pluto and Goofy and it's a buffet so you get to pick and choose for your food. The characters are great - at least they were in August! - and the food is good. I have had the breakfast at the Poly ~ the last time in '98 but we just prefer buffets....thinking we get more for our money, don't know if we really do or not...I just go to see the characters :p

We are going to be at the Poly in June and we couldn't decide between these two Character breakfasts so we are doing both. We have split them up in the trip but are excited for both of them. Chef Mickey's is our first morning there and Ohana is our last morning there. Good luck with your decision I am sure you can't go wrong with either one!!

We've done both...but prefer Ohana. Why? It's not a madhouse and there's more time for character interaction. Also, the breakfast is served family style, so there's no going up to the buffet and worrying about missing the characters. Finally, we think the food is better too...all you can eat Mickey waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, fried potatoes, and Hawaiian bread. Yum! We've gone to Chef Mickey's once, but we're going back to Ohana for our third breakfast this summer.

Oh, and you'll see Mickey, Goofy, Chip and Dale all dressed up in Polynesian wear...very cute!

I have done both and you cant go wrong with either one, but I prefer Ohana. I like to have the food brought to the table and I also thought it was more character time--maybe the restaurant is smaller? Especially since you are already staying , Ohana is the way to go.

Ohana is much more relaxing and you will get more time with the characters. Each time we've gone to Ohana the characters are much more intersting than anywhere else. You won't be disappointed.
