You guys are the greatest! I have really picked up alot of very useful info on this board. I hope someone can help me with this question -- I think it has been mentioned b4...

Does your character breakfast fall on a certain day of your dining rotation? We want to book the Palo brunch but don't want to miss the character breakfast with the kids.

Thanks in advance!!

Only 3.5 days to June 1 Magic!!!!!

We just got back from the Eastern...it was great...I am getting ready to post a trip report on the Trip Report page.

You will get your Character Breakfast Assignments on the 1st night of your cruise from your waiter. We had the late 8:30pm seating and our Character Breakfast was at 9:45 that week (we didn't go). If you have the early dinner seating 6:30pm...your Character Breakfast will be even earlier than 9:45...I think it was around 7:30, but I am not sure.

We went to the Palo Brunch and it is great. Do not miss it. It filled up by Sat. afternoon, so you should book it as soon as you get onboard. Brunch is served til 1 or 2pm...I can't rmember, but we went to brunch at 11am and skipped breakfast that day.

If I were you...I would just book brunch as soon as you get on board for one of the "At Sea" days...book it 11:15 or so...that way, whenever your Character Breakfast is...you can still go to that with your kids and then go to brunch later that morning. We did Brunch on Monday. Check out the Navigaters on Dave's webpage......www.dcltribute.com to see the lunches. Thursday they do a great Seafood lunch buffet in Parrot Cay...we loved it, so I would not recommend doing Brunch that day. We went Monday...they had Asian Buffet that day and we don't like Asian food, so it was the day to miss.

Yes there is a certain day for your char breakfast. Its something like "the following morning after your first Animator's Palate dinner." Someone on the boards should know for definate. Im sure it's in my notes somewhere.

And the way it varies is by your rotation. For the Western Itinerary, if you have APLAPLA (usually with little kids) your breakfast is Sunday morning (before you get to Key West). If you have LAPLAPL (usually adults or teens) your breakfast is Monday (at sea day). If you have PLAPLAP (usually the school age kids), your breakfast is Thursday (second at sea day). You will get a ticket with the info on it, but you don't need to bring it to the breakfast.

I don't know exactly which days are assigned on the Eastern.

According to my notes, the character breakfast is on one of the sea days on the Eastern 7-day, depending on your rotation, as follows:

PLAPLAP - Thursday
LAPLAPL - Monday
APLAPLA - Sunday

I don't recall what the "magic" formula was for determining which day it would be (maybe the first sea day following your first night in AP?).

Hopefully someone out there who has cruise recently can confirm this!

There will be a SIGN at Palo when you go to sign up for the brunch and other reservations that tells you what day/time your character breakfast will be, based on a code that is on your Key to the World card. You don't have to try and figure it out in advance, just bring your KTTW card to Palo with you and check out the sign and plan accordingly. :)

I personally wouldn't worry about having the Char Break and Palo Brunch on the same day. the Char Break really isn't such a big deal -- and you could easily just order a bagel and coffee and save the room for the brunch later on. BUT, I would take in to consideration the themed lunch buffets that are on the days at sea. In particular, I would not want to miss thursday buffet lunch as that is the seafood buffet.
:)

Your head server will give you tickets to a Character Breakfast. He will usually distribute these tickets at the end of dinner on Saturday night. Your tickets will be for your assigned table and an assigned seating:

<nl><li>If you have early dinner seating, your Character Breakfast will be at 8:15am.
<li>If you have late dinner seating, your Character Breakfast will be at 9:45am.</nl>

<nl><li>If you have the APLAPLA rotation, your Character Breakfast will be on Sunday morning.
<li>If you have the LAPLAPL rotation, your Character Breakfast will be on Monday morning.
<li>If you have the PLAPLAP rotation, your Character Breakfast will be on Thursday morning.</nl>

Like I said this board is the greatest! Thanks to everyone who replied for your info and insight.
