Character Breakfast on the Fantasy

:) one more thing my 16 year old son will complain about.. He wants to go to the parks more than this cruise!

We just did this last week. It was cute and very reminiscent of Hollywood and Vine at the Studios. You do order off of a set menu, but they also offered donuts and pastries. We saw Doc, Sophia, Jake, and Mickey. Our time was 9:45 and we were on our way by 10:30. Also there were no ship photographers there so bring your camera. The cast member with the character will take your pictures if you want in any of the shots with your kids.

Thanks for the details! As long as Mickey is there, I will line up early to get that ticket!

Have fun planning!

We just got off the Western Caribbean cruise and it was offered on the first at-sea day and on Grand Cayman day since we arrived later. I do not think it was done the second at-sea day but I am not 100% sure.
I am hoping for grand cayman day!! will make us get up early and be ready for tendering!

We did it (in March) on Grand Cayman day. It was not the best experience we had, and I definitely would not consider it an opportunity for better breakfast food -- the appeal is the characters
(I wrote about it in my trip report so I won't go into detail here)

I apologize in advance if this was already asked and I missed it, but what characters are at the character breakfasts on the Fantasy?

We did the character breakfast on the Fantasy on May and it was terrible. The food was the worst quality I have ever experienced anywhere on the ship - cold, small amounts, and appeared to be frozen waffle kind of items. The place was packed and they pushed tables closer together I assume to fit more people which made it a challenge to get pictures with the "oversized" characters. They were rushed. Definitely not worth the time. Our servers told us how much they dreaded character breakfast mornings! Just do the buffet and see the characters at the meet and greets.

Wow that was not our experience at all a few weeks ago. I'm sorry your breakfast wasn't better. What time was your breakfast? At 9:45 for ours, I'd say the dining room was only 1/4 full if even that. The characters came so quickly because there wasn't anyone there!

I think we went to the early one. Like 8:30 or 9:00. Absolutely packed! Glad that you had a better experience kickask. Maybe my experience was the exception and not the rule.
