Ok, so I'm not going to WDW until January but I want to make sure I get our ADRs right before the 180 days start. We are not using the Dining Plan so only having a few meals in WDW. I've been to WDW four times before but NEVER eaten in a WDW restaurant!

The only meals we are doing are:

Boma (Dinner)
CRT (Dinner) - I know about all the bad reviews but its our anniversary night
and I can't get the idea of eating in the castle out of my head!
Chef Mickeys (Dinner)

Now I've decided I want a character breakfast on our last day. We don't have to be at the airport til about 4pm so we have plenty of time. I don't want to do Chef Mickeys twice in one trip, and we're not big fans of 'face characters' - which stops 1900, CRT, Princess Storybook. Also I don't fancy the Pooh characters (Crystal Palace). I'm not at all fussy - honest!!

So what do you think? My reckoning is that it leaves Donalds Restaurantasaurus, Cape May Cafe or Ohana.

Oh and did I mention I really want Mickey waffles?!!

Any info on previous visits / pictures / opinions would be great!!

Thanks in advance!

P.S we will have one day left on our UK version of the Magic Your Way ticket so entry to theme parks is no problem

We ate at Cape May Cafe on our last visit and we really enjoyed it. The atmosphere was great, the food was great too, and the characters were a lot of fun. We saw Chip, Dale, Minnie and Goofy all dressed in their beach wear. There are definitely Mickey waffles available, and I thought it was better than 1900 PF anyway!

Good luck and enjoy!

Another vote for Cape May. It's a nice, relaxing character meal with delicious food and great character interaction.

With Donalds you will need park admission so just be aware of that if you don't have enough park admission or wanted to go to one that day.

I haven't been to Donalds yet but we really like Cape May or breakfast. The food is very good :) Ohana comes in a close second.

We love Ohana, especially for our last day breakfast. They do serve Mickey Waffles. We like the fact that it is served family style instead of buffet.

I would reconsider CP. If you get an early (8am) seating you can eat breakfast and be in the park at 9am opening to make the most of your last day-assuming its not an early entry day at MK. I do need to say that I have not yet tried Cape May or Donalds. I did like the OHanas was quiet and it is nice that it is served family style.

The food is soooooo good. They do not have Mickey waffles but they do have Pooh and Tigger waffles. They have all the other standard buffet fare. Here's a few pictures:

Made to order omlet and you can also order an egg any style (fried) which is a nice change from the usual scrambled.:

They call this a puffed french toast but its really a deep fried donut (worth the price of the meal):

Breakfast lasagna-layers of pancakes, fruit and custard:

The breakfast lasagna looks pretty yummy!
We didn't do CP because DD% thought Winnie the Pooh "for babies".
WE did both Cape May and Ohana breakfasts.
Food was more variety and yummier (bread pudding, blintzes, asparagus) at Cape May. Characters were fine at Cape May.
DD really loved Lilo & Stitch at Ohana. Food pretty basic, fresh fruit, eggs ,bacon, cinnamon rolls.

edit: Both Cape May and Ohana had Mickey waffles.

We loved O'hana! :thumbsup2

The food is brought to you which is much more relaxing, and the characters are great. We saw Mickey (In Hawaiin attire), Pluto, Lilo and Stitch (Actually Lilo was in the lobby) They each came around twice when we were their (12/05)

Here's a picture of the big skillet of food they bring you.

Bacon,Sausage, Mickey Waffles, Eggs, and Potatoes.

We also had fresh fruit, and a yummys basket of sweet breads, juice and coffee or tea. If you want more, they will bring you more. It was great! :thumbsup2
