Character back at LTT?

I thought it was only while CP was closed for renovations. The info page for LTT does not say it is character, but in the new dining reservation system on-line it says it is Chip, Dale, Minnie, Pluto.

Guessing it is a glitch???

I just double-checked online on Disney's website under details for LTT, and there is no mention of characters at all under the restaurant info.

It only shows up on the new dining reservation system page... when you get your available reservations chart and there is a window that "pops" up with a few lines of detail...

I cannot get the dining reservations system to load or I would take a screen shot as I was so confused by it's appearance!

HUH? What new dining reservation page? I made 3 ADRs today, and the old screen was still there. The online system has been down all weekend at certain points and DVC member services closes early tomorrow for training, so I wonder if we are finally getting our new online system?

When did you see this? I just went on the online ADR page, and the regular webpages are there?

It just started coming up today and it is pretty neat, you can see a whole selection of available restaurants and times! It does not always load and dinner shows are not able to be booked on line right now. You might want to try again to check it out as I just ot it to load and see the LTT says characters for lunch.

Thanks - I went to the Dining Reservations board, and I saw the new site is coming up for some people in Beta format. I've been on the site many times today, and just went on a few minutes ago, and it's still the old site.

Maybe it's your cookies from today, or, they are only allowing it for certain users?

Thanks so much for posting this - it will be very interesting to see if LTT brings back characters. They should make it into a Toy Story themed character meal, if you ask me.

I am so glad I found this post! I really like the new ADR format. It said that the dinner for LTT had characters so I booked it for before MNSSHP this October (if it turns out that it is just a glitch, I'll cancel!)

OK, is this old news and I somehow missed it? Is it an error on the Disney Dining Online Reservations Site ?

When booking our meals online this morning for Thanksgiving week I looked at LTT for one of our evening meals. The page clearly indicates that Chip&Dale and Minnie will appear for dinner. When I tried for a lunch seating it told me that characters do not appear.

So, which is it? Characters at dinner or a mistake on the website?

I do hope they are back, it was such a nice character dining experience. But I can not help you with an answer hopefully someone knows.

Well, even more confused now ...

Just called the dining line twice, spoke with two different CMs and received two different answers!! Imagine that!!

When using the new dining reservation site online a little while ago, and pulling up LTT, it shows that characters apear for dinner! Minnie, Chip&Dale and Pluto.

I used the "Search" feature for Character Meals and it pulled up LTT this way, too.

I started with my Thanksgiving week dates and found it first. Then I started experimenting with different dates, thinking it might be a temporary thing like when CP was being refurbished, but all the dates I selected over a few months showed that characters.

So, does anyone know? Are the characters back for dinner or is this a Disney/IT mistake?!?!

combined the two threads on the first page about this. It's much easier to keep one thread updated with the most current information, and this way everyone will know what the 'final answer' is at the same time.

It's got to be wrong. LTT did not have characters at lunch even when it had characters.

Just for fun, I have called dining a few more times and got a few more conflicting answers: 2 said characters for dinner, 1 said characters for lunch and dinner, and 1 said NO characters.

Guess we will continue to wait and see ...

Wow! That would be great - I know a lot of people were disappointed that the characters were taken away....hopefully it's not a glitch.

Well, it's not looking good ...

The old system is back up for me when I log in and when I go to book LTT it shows that it is not a character meal for lunch or dinner.
