Character autographs: SOTMK cards

Hi! I hope this is appropriate for this board....
Has anyone had a character sign Sorcerer of the Magic Kingdom cards? Will they still work in battles afterward? Might Do that instead of an autograph book for our upcoming trip and was curious, as we would like to play the game with the cards too

I can't get them to work half the time without somebody writing on them!!!

I haven't used the autographed ones in the game because I only had characters sign from my duplicate pile.

During the day, it shouldn't be a problem. In the right lighting, the system works really well, and I've had it read cards that weren't even fully displayed (partially behind another or angled down)

At night, I could see it causing problems. The system struggles in the dark, and any disturbance of the image will probably prevent it from reading.
