The first time I went to Disney I was 25 years old or so... and I got autographs and photos. Now - we just do the photos, but not as much - we look for characters we have not seen before - or on recent trips.
I need to track down Stitch!
We saw Stitch over by Carousel of Progress and that band stage thing in Tomorrowland on two different days on our last trip.

all 3 times I went down last year (jun, oct, nov) you couldnt turn around without seeing stitch

Stitch can usually be found in Tomorrowland by COP in the Magic Kingdom, In Animal Kingdom in the Oasis, and I think I've seen him with Lilo at the Hat in Studios

I always get pics with the characters on my annual treks since 1986 wish I could show you but I'm still a newbie here....I stand in line with all the other "kids" hey I have been a Mickey fan since 1959 at age 5 and my earliest memory was watching the Mickey Mouse Club :happytv: and then my dear Daddy telling me to get those da.. ears off at the dinner table :rotfl2:

Last year I even got pics of me and my dog, happened to figure out when the characters were at the entrance to AK which was right near the kennels, Chip & Dale and Timon loved him but the hair stood up on Dillon's back when Pluto approached ....go figure they're both Pointers.

At Toon-Town I simply ask an adult that is behind me to take pics with my camera and then I return the favor for their family....meet alot of nice people that way

My fiance and I had a great time getting photo and autographs this year - I think we got more than 45 autographs and even more photos :D

My favourite interaction was with Pluto at Dona;d's Breakfastosaurus - we were at first sitting and were sent to get food before the characters arrived. Unfortunately there was miscommunication somewhere and the characters appeared while we were at the buffet.

So, we went back to our seats and saw Mickey, Donald and Goofy, but we'd missed Pluto. I told the CM and she said she'd make sure Pluto stopped by to see us. When he came back I had the most amazing time - he pulled me out into the middle of the tables and started dancing with me - we were dancing and posing for photos for well over five minutes and he didn't want to let me go. I felt so special, and just like a little kid again  Even onw, thinking about it puts a huge smile on my face!

My DF's favourite was definitely Aurora - he was mesmerized by her and she told him how a Prince like him must be sure to take care of a beautiful Princess like me lol! :rotfl:

I don't get the autographs but we do do the pics, hubby and I.

All I can say, is look our for the parents, pushing their kids in front of you, thinking you don't have kids with, so you must not want a pic, lol.

I agree with webray. I have often stood in line to get my pictures taken with characters and most of the time I didn't have a problem. Only once or twice did I get frustrated because parents would send their kids in front of me. But most of the time, it was great!

Does anyone else get an autograph book for your adult trip?

THinking it might be kinda fun to get one and get my pictures taken with the characters through out the parks.

Just didn't know if anyone else does this? Do you feel funny getting autographs and pictures without the kids?

I always get photos with the characters but haven't done the autograph thing......I've thought about it though.

Next trip, I also want to take either the Treasures book (by the Passporter people) or Hidden Mickeys and go on a little Treasure hunt with my camera.

My DW and I always get pics with characters! When we were last down for our honeymoon in 2002 (can't wait to go back this October!!!) we got pics with probably almost 50 characters. Got a bunch of autographs too. The autographs are just as unique as the photos - almost every character has a cool way of signing their name.

We love getting our picture taken with the characters!!

My top 3

1. Seeing Chewbacca (huge Star wars fan) I ran up to him and hugged him so hard he groaned...I do feel bad about it but I was so excited.

2. Watching my girlfriend and sister (ages 28 and 25) stand in line to meet Mickey. This was the sisters very first time ever meeting Mickey, she was so excited she was in tears!! They happened to be the last two people that Mickey saw at that time. Other parents there were complaining very loudly that two adults shouldn’t be allowed in line and it was very unfair to the children , its a children’s park ect ect ect . Their comments probably would have detracted from the whole experience but then I turned and saw the look in her mothers eyes....she was almost in tears herself seeing her daughter experience Mickey for the 1st time even at the age of 25!

And #3 Getting my girlfriends mother to actually participate in our goofy pictures!! Like this one

My fiance and I took tons of pics on our trip with characters. Our only regret is that we didn't do anything fun in ou pics with them. In one pic Goofy put his paw on my head and that pic was the best one because we were genuinely laughing. So next time we're definitly going to intereact better :thumbsup2
