Character Autographs and Pictures with adults

when i was 16 i went and had an autograph book and got pictures. a few years later i went again and i didn't get a book, got pictures taken with my favorite characters(Peter Pan, Hook, Smee....no Tink tho!) but at almost every parade my fiance has a picture of one of the characters who have walked up to me and hugged me or something.

I'm friends with the characters, and believe me, they love interacting with adults! Adults who participate and play with the characters are the best. Please don't feel that you need a camera or an autograph book to meet a character; if all you want to do is curtsey to the Queen of Hearts, believe me, she will love it!

An adult guest once visited with Timon and did the hula (you know, "What do you want me to do - dress in drag and do the hula?!") with him. He was thrilled .

My wife and I went on our 10th anniversary a few years back (without the kids!). On the first day she got her autograph book and we took pictures with every single character we could find. It made our trip! As another poster has said, the characters really seemed to enjoy enteracting with adults. I highly recommend repeated pictures with the Princesses. My wife's only regret.....Tarzan didn't do meet and greet!!!

I look for characters on the streets too. I assume they still have the characters out at MGM. Last time there was a whole row of Pooh characters and I was thrilled. I got Pooh, TIgger and Eeyore (couldn't find Piglet). I would love to run into Stitch though. Any suggestions on where I might look for him?

Stitch can be found in Animal Kingdom and Tomorrowland at the Magic Kingdom.

All of the women of my family travel together and we go from 24-87 and we take photos and autographs. The characters seem to enjoy the adult attention and fun.

When we were at Liberty Tree Tavern, my one sister who just loves Chip was very surprised when she found out he was there. So I made sure I told Chip that he was just her very most favorite. After that he kept coming back to our table. one time he took her napkin and dropped it so she would get up and pick it up. Then he took it again and pulled her up from her chair and put it up so it looked like they were kissing behind it. She was so very happy you could see her glow for the rest of the evening. AND the four of us were in our 50's

I absolutely love the characters. I took my autograph book last time and got a whole bunch of autographs. I also got tons of photos....

The characters truly do seem like they have a great time with the adults. I was worried last time travelling solo that I would look kind of strange standing alone in queues, but truthfully, I ended up meeting so many people and had a great time. The characters were a hoot- King Louis cracked me up the most. He literally wrestled me to the ground and was messing my hair up. I was laughing so hard. The cast member just kept snapping the shots from my camera too.....Had a great time.

Also, when I met the Sorcerer Mickey at MGM, there was a long line of people waiting for him and he saw me when i got up there and he started dancing with me and he signed my autograph book and wanted to ask me questions. I told him I was travelling solo and he took my hand and started walking out of the photo place - like he was going to escort me around. It was great. I had a lot of fun with the characters and they were more than happy at signing my books and taking their photos with me.....Do it - you won't regret it.

I wake up every morning to a photo of Mickey and Me on my dresser....It is a great memory.

I agree with all of the post-ers on this thread. The characters are a huge part of why we go! IMHO, they are a huge part of the magic.

Of course, Dopey is my favorite. I have found him at MK and in Germany at Epcot. We have seen many characters scattered through all the parks. Last time, at MGM, we even saw Kim Possible and Ron (but no Rufus)

I enjoyed interacting with the characters during our recent trip. I don't seek out all the characters, but I made sure to get pics with my favorites either via PhotoPass or my own camera. Besides that, there are far worse things in life than being called Prince by a Disney Princess.

I wait in line with the kids to get my picture with the character. I also take an autograph book and have them sign it also. I don't mind nicely telling a kid that is going to break in line in front of me - I am sorry but I am in line, you need to get behind me.

I just wanted to mention that the princesses didn't treat me and my brother any differently than the little kids that were in line with us just because we were adults. Aurora called me Prince and gave me some advice regarding my occasional battles with insomnia, and Belle and I discussed the latest book she had read with the Beast.

Our best "adult" character interaction was at Chef Mickey's with Goofy...him and Donald were playing tag and to "get away" from Donald Goofy sat at our table. Of course, Donald couldn't find him. Then Goofy proceeded (sp?) to open sugar packets, eat our dessert and then tripped getting up from his chair. A neighboring child yelled at us saying "How dare you push Goofy!" and then Goofy wouldn't leave without an apology.
I don't do the autograph books, but I do tell Donald that he's #1, that Pluto will always be Mickey's best friend and tell Cruella that I love cats.
I'll have to remember to do the hula with Timon and Pumba now!

The first time I went to Disney I was 25 years old or so... and I got autographs and photos. Now - we just do the photos, but not as much - we look for characters we have not seen before - or on recent trips.
I need to track down Stitch!

I took a friend of mine for her first trip to Disney the year she turned 40. Part of the fun for us was going around and getting our pictures taken with every character we saw! We had fun, the characters seemed to have fun with us too!
I don't think I'd do it in high season, but when the crowds are low I don't have a problem with it.

When I go solo, I do have my picture taken with as many characters as I can. When I went in 2003, I not only was collecting photos with the characters, but had them sign a birthday autograph book for my nephew. He loved it! This year I'm going to bring a large t-shirt and have the characters sign that. This way I will have a unique nightshirt! I think it's fun and there is always a CM with the character to take the picture.
