Does anyone else get an autograph book for your adult trip?

THinking it might be kinda fun to get one and get my pictures taken with the characters through out the parks.

Just didn't know if anyone else does this? Do you feel funny getting autographs and pictures without the kids?

I've done it. DH and I enjoy it. It is a lot of fun, especially when you find a hard to find character or your favorite. I love interacting with Donald and Dale.

No, I don't feel funny at all. The way I see it is that I paid my admission, waited patiently for my turn in line, and I've been a fan much longer than the kids in line.

I know some on this board think characters are for kids only, but I definitely disagree with that.

Adults talking pictures with Adults??

Character photos, character autographs, character meals: Absolutely . . . and always! I do it so often that many of them "know me." :cool1:

yes go for it.

i adore the characters and the great thing is they almost expect EVERYONE to wait in line to meet them.

that is what disney is all about - the characters are for everyone.

Enjoy and make some great memories!

I have a HUGE scrapbook/authgraph book. I'm on ed # 3 of my autograph book.

Thanks for your replies.

I can't wait to go!

Will the Cast Members with the characters take your pictures with the characters for you?

I did it and ended up going dancing with Jepetto. Half of the fun is you never know what the characters are going to do to you.

Yes. If you hand them your camera, they will photograph you with the characters. For the popular characters there is also usually a Disney PhotoPass photographer available. They will shoot with their camera and then yours if you ask.

I don't have an autograph book, but I do take pictures with the characters every trip. This last trip I took pics with Donald and Daisy Duck, Goofy, Pooh, Tigger and Eyeore, Chicken Little and Abby. I could only convince my Dh to take one character photo with me but I was happy he did that. :woohoo:

I don't do the autograph book but maybe I should next time. I do always get pictures with the characters. I love to do it and my DH doesn't mind taking the picture or being in it with me. I also had great fun on our cruise getting pics with the characters with my MIL. She was just as into it as I was. What a great MIL!

Whoa! I am the biggest offender here! I am a mid-thirties adult, and pretty much all I do is look for characters and get autographs!! I never feel odd about getting autographs as an adult. A few times, I would explain it's my nephew's autograph book or something, though an explanation really isn't necessary. The characters seemed quite used to seeing us "big kids" at the parks! :)

Not into the autographs, but love taking pictures with the characters.

I've been every year since 2001 and I always get my picture taken with Tigger and a new character each new trip. I got my sought-after Stitch one in August (Stitch is always hard to get!).

What I usually do is wait in line but I keep an eye on timing and if a little kid is behind me. Once Minnie was ending up her time and I was going to be the last one but there was a little girl and her father behind me so I let them go ahead and Minnie and her Handler all gushed over me doing that nice thing and the father actually took my picture with Minnie and I!

Now I'm on the lookout for Captain Hook!!! Go for the pictures and the autographs - WDW lets us be our inner-children in all things including character pictures!!! Ely

I always always have to visit with characters, get their autographs and take a picture. This trip, my husband even got into it and he was keeping track of the autographs and took tons of pictures with the characters! It's fun and we had a great time!

I love seeing the characters! That's probably one of my most favorite things to do at Disney. I have several hundred pictures of me with the characters. In fact, some of my most memerable Disney moments have come with the characters, during the parades, shows, ect.

I find it stranger now you have to enter somewhere and queue for the characters, I just feel all these people staring at us wondering where our child is. Anyone in the street is fair game though - I'm there. In fact, the only reason I ran the whole marathon at disney this year was to get my photo with Tigger and Eyeore who don't appear on the half course - sadly Tigger was on some kind of bouncing break when I reached that point and I only got Eyeore - and that's my excuse for running it again in 2008!!!

I was just getting pictures, until I read here somewhere about adding the Autograph to the picture, and I was off and running, Now it's both, I have a list of who I need, who I don't, and don't care anymore while in the queu because I don't have a kid with me. (I get the same looks waiting for the Winniethe Pooh ride). On my birthday weekend, Some of the Charactor's wrote Happy Birthday on the autograph.

I don't do the autographs, but I'm all over the pictures with characters! Next trip I plan on being on the look out for characters I haven't met yet. Its a lot easier when you don't have to worry about a 4 year old not wanting to stand in line whether he likes the character or not. I can go in any line I want and not worry. The last trip my mother and I were walking around Epcot and wandered into Morocco. In the back there was a very short line for the Genie. I was psyched! One of my favorite. My mom made a joke with the family in front of us. They were with their DS who was about 6 and said he loved the Genie. My mother said,, Oh I know what you mean. My son couldn't wait to get in line. Then she pointed at me. All 35 years old, 270lbs of me!! :rotfl2: :thumbsup2

DW and I stood in line for an hour the first time I went just so I could get a picture with Mickey. That was pre-children.

OH YEAH!! Pictures with the characters are great for adults! :thumbsup2

On our first trip to Disney, we went to Crystal Palace. It seemed as thought the characters were just as interactive with the adults as the families with children.

At our breakfast at Chef Mickey's, Pluto came over to our table a couple of times. One of my favorite pictures from that trip is with Pluto. The first time he came to our table, he put his paws out for a hug. When I went to hug him he grabbed my head and put me in this semi head lock! Messed my hair up REALLY GOOD!!! :rotfl2: The second time he came by our table, he looked me in the eye, as did I. He bumped my nose with his big nose, then preceeded to lick me!!! Thank goodness for the no slobber! :lmao: When we got ready to leave, we picked up our staff. Pluto was at the table next to ours. He took my arm and wrapped around his (like I prom date would do is the best way I can describe how it took my arm). We skipped away from the tables. My mom was watching the whole thing, still standing at our table. She yelled to me, 'Angi, where are you going?' I turned around and yelled back to her, 'I don't know! Ask the dog!!' :lmao: When we got to where the people were being seated, he let go of my arm, gave me one last lick and we were on our way for the day!
