Can someone please refresh my memory and tell me how much the Character Autograph books cost there at WDW??? It's been 2 years since I've been and I'm going back in July.  I was wondering if I bought them through Ebay if it would be cheaper than at WDW. I found some on Ebay that come w/a pen as well.

I believe the blue ones are $6.50, the 50th anniversary ones are $10 and the princess ones are $12. Pens are about 3.50. We had our car and stopped at a few stores. The local stores (K-mart and Walgreens) sold an autograph book with a spiral on top and there were different covers to choose from, princess, buzz, minnie... these sold for $3.99. We bought one for our dd after her blue one got soaked from the water bottle. After that we kept the books in a ziploc bag!

I bought one on ebay last year, it wasn't cheaper. I liked the convenience of not stopping to get it when we arrived but was a little peeved when I saw the price difference. I think I paid $10 plus shiping. Not that big of a deal but just be careful, people like to up the price when they're selling park items.

If you have a Target near you right now in the dollar zone they have princess notebooks that are 4inx5in. I am going to give my DD this for her book. I still have to find something for DS and we are doing this trip on a budget.

disneyfamilyof5-I will be waving to you at the Poly since we will be there about the same time. Can't wait.

On-topic-my dd got a cute little scrapbooking pad with a spiral on top for her birthday. I have to figure out where it came from because I want to get one more for my ds (he is 21 months & does what his sister does). So I am using that.

in 2004 we went for Easter and Christmas. For my 4 kids' autograph books i purchased plain autograph books and drew/traced disney characters on the corners of the pages. If drawling isn't one of your strong points, try stickers. I had the books opened to the page with the character whose autograph we were in line for. It often resulted in a response and interaction from the character seeing their picture. Usually around june when school lets out you can get autograph books in party stores and card shops. Although i purchased mine at the Dollartree. (dollar store) just a little excited?!

For my DD's "autograph book" we bought, at the Dollar Tree, a blank, small notepad w/Disney characters on the front. It was small and thin enough to fit in my fannypack. This was a couple of wks. ago right before our trip. They probably still have them (if you have a Dollar Tree by you).

We were there in May. You could buy the blue one for 6.50 I think. They had a special 5oth Anniversary one and a pricess one that were larger.
On the right side of each page, there was a clear pocket that held a
4 x 6 photograph hortizontally. (This might be a problem is a lot of your pictures are taken vertically.) They were 12.00.

For our trip, we made our own autograph book.
My son had the characters autograph large 4 x 6 notecards. I had bought a pack of the notecards for around 1.00. I carried the notecards and pens in a ziplock bag. We didn't have to carry around a bulky book.

Then when we got home we put the autographs in the scrapbook with his picture with the character. He had a blast putting the scrapbook together with my help. I used a 6 x 6 scrapbook with a red cover that I bought at Hobby Lobby. Then I put one of those embroidered figures of Mickey with adhesive on the back on the cover. It was great. He loves showing off his scrapbook to everyone! :teeth:

MD South-

LOVE your homemade idea!! Made me think about next year with my girls...what a great way to spend time on the car trip home!!

Thanks :cheer2:

At target I just bought a picture book. It is Easy Archive. It has matted pages you can put a photo onto and I will have each charecter sign on the page, then insert the kids picture to match each charecter! They were about $5.00 each and hold up to 200 picture. There were by the photo printers by electronics in Target. It will be cute when done.
