for those who have had characters come to the reception ...was there a specific song played/announcement made when they entered. did you have a specific songs played during the visit? just looking for ideas...TIA :goodvibes

From what I've heard, if you're having The Big Cheese and you don't specify a song, 99.9% of the time the DJ will play "Hey Mickey" when he shows up.

I normally play a custom mix that leads right into Hey Mickey. Also, the Disney version of Mambo Number 5 is a must-play. Other than that, any upbeat (and appropriate- forget about Low by Flo Rida!) music is fair game.

Hope this helps!

Do you have to squash all my dreams Carrie? Even if the event takes place before the park opens? :p

:scared: It's not me - it's Disney! If I ran the joint it would be a character and outside photographer free-for-all inside the parks! :rotfl:

The venue guidelines for all the outdoor locations say "Amplified entertainment and characters are not available for this location." Period. I'm guessing it's to do with the possibility of day guests at the edge of Future World seeing, like, Mickey in Morocco....

Any ideas on what song to play for Mickey and Minnie when they enter our reception ... as it is their birthday on my wedding day?!

(apart from happy birthday!!)

Hahaha, what? Isn't Mickey allowed in Morocco?Couldn't get his visa in order?

We had a ragtime trio (clarinet, baritone and banjo), so when Mickey and Minnie came in, they played the "Mickey Mouse Club" song. It was pretty cute, and our guests recognized it IMMEDIATELY before they even saw the Mice.

We are having Mickey and Minnie come to our outdoor reception but it's after the park closes. We are thinking of playing In the Jungle for their entrance :)
