You can't really reduce the 1 direct Disney service a day lol.
Both the tunnels are used for Eurostar & Eurotunnel, but they are not a set direction as you cross over when you are travelling no matter whether you are travelling from the UK or France.
Worse case scenario would be that they run a reduced service & just use one tunnel.
Fortunately my uncle wasn't working there today unless they had to call him in.
Anyone who was meant to travel back by eurotunnel will be put on the ferries to get them home.
Really? the bbc article suggested that it was one northbound tunnel and one southbound tunnel. Oh well![]()
That is what they are known as but you do crossover, have you ever travelled on there & your ears pop like they do on a plane? that is the most likely the crossover point.

I remember when they had the major fire back in the 90's we got to travel through before it got reopened to the public as my uncle is staff. It was great no waiting around or anything.
My ears pop an awful lot on the Eurostar - even more so now that they've added the extra tunnels from St. Pancras![]()
I have actually noticed my ears popping when i've been on the train, now i know why.
Thanks Nikki![]()
I only thought they popped on planes![]()
Mine actually do more on the eurostar than on planes.I only thought they popped on planes![]()
Update....
Eurostar will not have trains running tomorrow, it has been announced.
Hope everything is ok for the people travelling soon! Hopefully it'll reopen soon so people don't start swimming the channel to get to the magic!![]()
Thats my back up plan![]()
Ive got a rubber dingy somewhere you could borrow![]()
