Changing to special offer/park reservations

If we already have reservations (standard rate) and reserved our Park pass days, but want to modify to a special offer, will we have to remake Park Pass Reservations?

Do this change on the phone with a Disney CM who can make sure your
park days remain reserved.

I changed to a Georgia resident rate online and my park reservations were unchanged. I even changed the number of days of admission as part of my package, reducing the days by one, and my park reservations were unchanged.
