Changing to Pop - pool questions

Just found out that DS has to take the ACT the Saturday we were scheduled to arrive at Disney. Putting off the test is out of the question so looks like we're going to postpone our trip a week and we'll be staying at Pop instead of POR. One of the things that DD had really been looking forward to were the pool slides at Riverside and FQ. I'd rather not spring for waterparks and more option on the park passes so I'm wondering if there are any pool activities at Pop that my DD might enjoy. She's 6yo and just learning to swim. Will they let her take one of those pool noodles or any other items into the pool? I've seen photos of beach balls in the pool - are those provided by the resort? Thanks for your help.

There are beach balls provided. I've also seen noodles in the pools. There are no pool sides but the Hippy Dippy Pool is FUN! My kids love it! It has flowers that are squirting water down into the pool. They also have a zero entry kiddie pool with fountains. Even though there are no slides, I think she will really enjoy Pop!

There is a hair wrap and tattoo station right next to the Hippy Dippy Pool.

Thanks for the replies. I think this is going to work out okay. DD has just started taking swim lessons and had her first experience with going underwater just last night. She was pretty aprehensive about it so I'm not sure she'll be ready for being dunked off the end of a pool slide by then anyway. Does anyone know for sure if they'll let us bring in a pool noodle for her or if the resort provides those? She has seen other kids use those and wants one of her own for when she goes into deeper water.

My kids bought pool noodles last year and used them every day. We saw others with them and other small float things like kickboards used too. Big floats would be a no-no but the small ones haven't been a problem.

Yes, noodles are OK. They don't allow blow up loungers or anything that is bigger than a beach ball. You can bring in just about anything that is single sized.

When we were there last May, we stopped at Walgreens & picked up a couple of Little Mermaid kickboards (small, kid-sized) & were told by a lifeguard that they were not allowed in the pool. :confused3 I did see noodles in the pool, which were way bigger than the little kickboards. Maybe I just ran into a grumpy lifeguard...who knows?!
