Changing to Poly from AKL

We have needed to change our vaca dates for this summer - and I'm bummed. I'm glad to be going - but we had our ADR's all set at the 180 day mark and we were looking forward to AKL. Well, it's not avail for our new time frame. I'm sure I won't get all the great ressies I had - but please assure me the Poly will be great!!!

You will LOVE the Poly . We've never stayed at AKL so I can't compare the two, but we had our first stay at the Poly in September and it is now our #1 choice resort....with the WL running a close second . The Poly is wonderful as it has the convenience of the monorail, the beach where you can sit and watch the fireworks, hammocks on the beach to relax in, a beautiful tropical theme with lit tiki torches at night.....the list goes on and on . You will have a great trip and you won't be disappointed in the Poly .

The Poly is a beautiful resort and the location can't be beat. Also, I believe that the Poly has the best transportation options of any WDW resort (monorail, bus, boat, walk to TTC).

If you love the AKL I'm sure you'll like the Poly! The Poly is my favorite resort but AKL is a close second! You'll find the cultural theming along the same lines yet different (African continent vs. Polynesian islands). And just like at the AKL, at the Poly there are places you can 'get away'.

Folks will laugh but the GCH at Poly has its own 'smell' just like the AKL lobby does. I love it!

We always stay moderate now (personal choice). And although we would like to one day try the AKL for a few nights, we have stayed at the Poly several times and it is an absolutely lovely resort. We stayed there four years ago after they had remodeled many of the longhouses and it was absolutely wonderful. I am sure you will love it.
