Changing the wedding date?

I'm thinking of moving my wedding forward a few days (from the 17th to the 20th) due to concerns that we may encounter some flight delays. We are due to arrive on Aug 16th at 13.30 and get married Aug 17th at 10.00am. However we are flying with a chartered airline (MyTravel) and if our plane was delayed overnight (I know, it's a slim chance) then we would miss our own wedding:sad2:
I have contacted all of my outside vendors, Randy Chapman, Stan, Beauty Speciale, Rev Miller and Carolyn Allens to see if they will all be available for Monday the 20th. I have also contacted Tanis to ask about switching to the 20th.
So far Carolyn Allens has said she is available, I am just waiting to hear from everyone else. I refuse to move it to the 20th if Randy is not available. He is who I booked first and I will be devestated if I lost him for our wedding.
I really don't want to move the date at all, but it looks like it would cost us alot to move our flights, so this seems like the easier option now.
If everyone is available then great, if not I have some serious decisions to make. I will even have to switch my ADR's:sad2:

Has anyone else done this before? Was it relatively painless to do?
Hoping you can all send me some pixie dust that everyone will be available.

Sounds like a very smart decision. I seriously doubt things won't be available on a Monday. That's the say I'm gettting married and everything was. Good luck. Hope everything works out how you want.

Wow-- i am editing my post because i thought you said you were moving it back-- instead of forward-- wow.. my misunderstanding!

My advice wont work out!!

I think moving it ahead is probobly a good thing if all of your vendors are available!

We changed our date five months before and it was really no problem. As long as Disney has an opening (Monday is usually an easier day to book an event anway) and your kep people can do it (i.e. Randy Chapman), then everythinbg else can be easliy fixes. The great part about changing your dateis that you won't have to worry about flight delays which I know has been a major concern for you.

I hope everythign works out.
