hi-

i have made all my dining reservations for my family of 4.

however, we have invited my in-laws to join us on the trip and won't know for a few months whether or not they will come.

i was going to change my reservations to 6 people and assume they will join us.

if they decide not to go, can i call & change the reservations back to 4 people without losing the reservation?

do i just show up to my reservation with 4 people? will they turn me away?

I would go ahead and make them for 6 because it would be so much easier to do it now then try to add them later...you will not be charged if 2 don't show up:)

Call now to see which reservations can be modified to 6. For those that can't you can start checking online for a reservation for 6. It's always best to make the reservations for the maximum number of people who might be dining. It's much easier to show up at the restaurant with fewer people than the reservation so when you arrive at the restaurant just tell the CM at the podium that there are only 4 of you. You will not be charged for the missing in laws as long as at least one person shows up for the reservation.

On the other hand it is more difficult to show up with extra people not on the reservation. As much as possible the restaurant will seat your extra party members, but there is a slim chance that the restaurant is at capacity so the fire code will not allow extras to be seated or we were at a DW restaurant that was running far behind schedule so anyone not on a reservation was being turned away.
