Yesterday we went to US and IOA for the afternoon/evening. My son had a great time playing in the water in the kids area. The one downfall was the changing table in the bathrooms near E.T. It was just a slippery piece of metal with no edge. It was so slippery that I didn't feel comfortable taking either one of my hands off of him for a second to even put the wipes back in the bag. Every time he would kick his legs the whole changing pad would move. You'd think that with our society being so sue happy they would at least have an edge on the table.

Does anyone know if the other bathrooms in US have this type of table? We also used the bathroom near Circus McGurkus and it had an edge and was not made out of a slippery metal.
He had such a great time playing in the water but I hated taking him into that bathroom so much that I am hesitant to do it again.

They have wonderful changing/nursing/ and feeding rooms at all of the Health Services in the park. There are 2 in Universal, 2 in IoA, and one in Citywalk.

Thank you! The only "issue" I have with those is that neither one is convenient to the kid's area near E.T. I don't really want to carry a wet baby in a towel from there to the front of the park or around to near Beetlejuice. I'd really prefer a safe place to change him nearby.

I didn't get to stop by guest services and mention it but I did shoot them an email yesterday morning. They called me last night and I just explained to them that while I have the common sense to know that I have to keep both hands on him the entire time so he won't slip off, not all people do. I sent the email because if a child were to slip off there and get hurt and I knew it was dangerous and didn't say anything, I'd feel horrible. They said they would forward it to the appropriate people. I'm hoping they really do. I was really happy with the way they handled my email.

I also wrote in my email about a great TM (are they called TM's?) working at Dragon Challenge. He was really wonderful, knowledgeable and friendly. He spent a good amount of time making my son laugh. They said they would forward the email to his managers as well.

All in all, we had fun. Although I still don't understand why so many of the rides have a no handheld infant policy when rides almost identical to them in Disney don't :confused3. We'll go again soon I am sure, I just don't know if we will hit the kids area. I don't want to be "that parent" changing their kid on the concrete ledges. Even though they don't have an edge, at least they are not slippery.
