Changing SW Flight - Will Early Bird Go Along?

In the unlikely event I manage to get a good price on a more desireable flight on Nov 7 will our already paid for Early Bird boarding apply?

Yep. Early Bird goes along with the change.

I believe you have to 'change' the flight rather than cancel and re-book to keep your EBCI.

Correct. EBC will not change to flight credit. You have to change an existing reservation to a new one, not cancel a reservation and rebook another on another day.
