Changing Rooms - POFQ

We had originally booked POFQ for December 4th through the 8th and received a quote (AAA rate) for a water view room. We've decided to add two more days (the 2nd and 3rd of December) but there are no AAA rooms available, so we'd have to pay rack rate which is fine. However, we most likely will have a different room and will have to change rooms and will have to check in again on the 4th.

Question: has anyone had to do this and is it a real pain in the neck; also, is it quite likely that we will have to change rooms or does Disney usually end up giving you the same room. I'm not sure we want to change rooms and may switch our reservations to the CBR. Thanks!

Normally when you check in if you can inform them of your following reservation they can try to check you into a room that you won't have to move from. This is your best bet.

You may want to call in advance to see if you can get your reservations "connected". You will still have to "check out" and check back in, but you won't have to change rooms.

We're working through a travel agent so I don't believe I'd want to call Disney directly. We've decided to change to CBR anyway; less hassle, we've stayer there before and liked it.
