Next week will be our first trip to WDW as DVCers! The first and last nights of our trip will be spent at HH (to break up the drive from NJ). AT WDW, we have our first night at BCV and then we switch to OKW for 3 nights and then on to VB for two. Any advice on making all this easier? My kids are Disney veterans but usually we stay in only one place! We are particularly concerned about how much park time will be used changing from BCV to OKW (we have 9:15 PS at Cindy's that morning). Any suggestions from the pro's would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

When you are ready to check out of one Dis resort to go to the next one, just give your bags to the bell captain and they will take care of the transferring to the new resort. Then you go to the park for the day, and when you are done with the park, head over to your new resort and check in. Your bags will be in the care of the new bell captain. Go up to your new room, call the bell captain, and they will deliver your bags to your room. It's pretty painless, except for the room switches themselves. I hate that part, so it helps to be occupied at the park while you wait.

Thank you so much. It does sound rather easy. My kids would disown me if we missed breakfast at Cindy's because we were moving. Thanks again.

I have a suggestion that helped us on our trip to WDW. We stoped at HH on the way down and on the way back, instead on unpacking the luggage, we packed the cloths we would need at HH in our backpacks (a small gym bag, even a plastic bag would do) and we had a small bag for our toiletries. Once we arrived VWL, we washed out traveling cloths and repacked for the return trip. If you are not staying at HH lodge, it can be quite a walk and lots of stairs to climb to the other rooms.
We also switch resorts mid week at the WDW to BWV. Our trip was 12 days in total. We used the day we switched resorts as a down day at the pool. We did go to Epcot that evening. The family voted that on the next trip it would be only one resort at WDW. Personally, I didn't mind packing and unpacking but tipping everyone for the switch was an eye opener. Just for valet parking and bell services was expensive about $50 between the 2 resorts.

When you pack the car, make sure that your change of cloths is the last thing to be packed so its the easiest to get out. DH forgot and had to dig through everything in the dark at HH. Our room was on the marina side, lots of bitting bugs and a far walk to the room. Hope this helps.

Well, you really have two options for changing resorts. One, get up early, pack your car, drive over to BCV (since you'll have your car), check-in then get the bus to MK. You could either send your bags ahead, or pack them in your car, and go to MK for your breakfast, return to OKW, then drive over th BCV to check in. Personally, this sounds like a better option, since you have an early PS, you wouldn't wase precious time getting over to BCV in the morning. If you plan on driving to TTC in the morning, you could also pack your bags in your car, and then just head over to BCV after your breakfast.
