changing resorts?

hi everyone. some friends and i are making a trip to wdw this summer hopefully. we haven't picked the exact dates yet. we may be splitting our stay though and i just wanted to know what experiences you all had changing resorts. thanks for any help!

Well, I didnt change resorts, but I changed from a standard view to a preferred at the BWV and of course I had to "checkout' and wait until 4pm to check in again....it was sort of a pain...but switching resorts should be similar, check out....precheck-in at the new resort, and they will store your luggage (unless your room is ready, which would be ideal).

You could always visit a park or go swimming though, while you're waiting Mae

In January I split my stay between ASMusic and AKL. I was solo so that probably contributed somewhat to it being so easy! In June, going with DH, we're splitting our stay-5 nites at VWL, then 1 nite at OKW, just to see what it's like there. Wish I'd discovered how easy it is to switch resorts before now! At ASMusic, I just dropped my suitcase off at Bell Services on my way to get the bus to MGM (Bell services will pick up, but it was just as easy for me to drop the suitcase off as I left), then at the end of the day, I got on the bus to AKL and bell services there brought up my suitcase for me as soon as I got my room. Matter of fact, I got so into this change of scene thing, I requested 2 different rooms on 2 different savannahs for the 2 nights I was at AKL, so I had to move again.
