Changing resorts last night

We have a free dining package and wanted to add a night but it wasn't available. We are staying at POR , tried to add one night with room only but no rooms are available for that night. So I made a room only reservation at POFQ for our last night. When will be able to check in and when will our luggage arrive? We are thinking about going to mnsshp the night of the day we would be changing resorts. Our costumes will be in the luggage and we also would have to be at 1900 Park at 4:00. Also because we are checking out and then checking in to room only reservation will the dining plan still be good for that adr? thanks

Is changing resorts and going to mnsshp going to be a conflict? Just trying to make adrs and fastpasses. We were going to check out first thing and go to one of the parks for the morning. Go to the new resort shortly after lunch and get ready for the party. I'm just wondering if this is going to be to stressful to do. Any information would be great.

You can check into the resort after 6am. Your room could be ready early or it could not be ready until 3 or 4pm; unfortunately there is no way to know ahead of time. You can denote and early arrival or link it to your previous reservation so that the information is there. You should plan to take your luggage with you and not rely on the resort to move it since you need it. They can probably assist you with a golf cart if you don't feel like rolling it over. Dining credits are valid until the end of the night that you check out of the resort associated with those dining credits.

While you can check-in anytime after 6 am on your check-in day, your room may not be ready until 3 pm or later. If your room isn't ready, would you be ok changing into your costumes in a resort restroom? If you decide to go forward with this plan, this would be my suggestion:

1) Do not using Disney to transfer your luggage from POR to POFQ. Get a cab and bring your luggage to POFQ early in the morning. Put your costumes somewhere accessible in your luggage.
2) Ask Bell Services at POFQ to hold your luggage (that way your luggage will be available to you whenever you decide to change into your costume and you aren't beholden to Disney luggage transfer times, which can be LONG.)
3) Check in to POFQ and, if there isn't a room ready then, let them know getting a room early is your ONLY request and priority as you would like to change into your costumes.
4) Return to POFQ after park touring. If your room is ready, great! Either retrieve your luggage on your own from Bell Services or call them from your room and ask them to deliver it.
5) If there isn't a room ready by the time you return from the park, use a resort rest room to change into your costumes and give Bell Services a bag with your park clothing in it to hold until after the party.

It is likely that you will not have a room after lunch. I wouldn't expect a room until 3 at the earliest. You could get lucky but you can't count on it. You are basically " homeless " on change day. I agree take a taxi/ Uber with your luggage. Disney won't deliver it until late afternoon.

Are you considering going to MK (or another park) the day of the party? Might be worth taking your costumes to the park and then renting a locker?
