We plan on checking in to DVC on June 12th - Does our 7 month non-home resort booking start on November 12th or 13th? I'm assuming it is Nov. 12th; however, when pulling out my original confirmation - I noticed I made all my reservations on July 13th - that has me all confused.

If you want to move a June 12th reservation, you can do that on November 12th. That's today!:goodvibes

I can personally confirm that the information above is correct. I'm checking in on June 11 and I was able to call in yesterday November 11 for the 7 month window. I successfully reserved a dedicated 2-bedroom at Bay Lake Tower! Maybe I've had extremely good luck but I typically have no problems booking at the 7 month window. Be sure to call Member Services as close to 9:00am as possible. Good luck! :teacher:

We check in June 8. On November 8 I called and changed our reservation from a 2 bdr at AKV to a 2 bdr in BLT. Today is the day.

We too called at our seven month window to switch from AKV to BCV. We got it, so I was thrilled. Now just waiting a few days to try go get the end of our trip nights at Vero Beach!

Called today to change from SSR to VWL a 2BR dedictaed! Can't wait for June 13th to come!:yay:

Seems to be a lot of success at the 7 month window in June so far.

I know June is peak time at WDW, but can it be considered non peak for DVC?

3 years in a row I've had success at 7 months or less for a late May/early June stay.

I was incredibly successful. We had 2 - 2BR and 4 studios reserved at our home resort of VWL. We wanted to take the family to BCV - called and believe it or not - we got it! I did have to get a 2 lock-offs for the 2BR instead of the dedicated, but we can certainly live with that! I really didn't think we'd be able to switch over six rooms - but I had no problems! I guess the old saying is right - you never know until you try!

Yes, it's true that the summer months do not fill as quickly at the DVC resorts as other times of the year.

Given that, I'm not at all surprised at the number of 7 month successes for June, especially if the economy is also considered.

Early to mid June is certainly not peak time, later June nearing the 4th will be. Usually Peak time start to pick up around 15 June but it'll vary a little with where the weekend falls and when the schools actually get out. Thus those looking at the 7 month window now would not be able to give us a barometer for availability during peak times. Those calling over the next week or two would be better situated to do so.

Called yesterday at the 7 month mark and scored a 2 bedroom at GCV. Good luck!!! :goodvibes

One thing to note is that any resort in active sales has slightly more inventory declared than points committed. This should give a slight cushion for availability. The same is often true for exchanges.
