Changing resort reservations and ADRs

We currently have reservations for POR starting from 1st Dec, but are thinking of pushing that back to spend the first few days of our trip (16 nights in all) at Universal. We're coming up to the 180 day mark for the 1st Dec now (didn't know about the 190 day online thing ) and wondering what to do about our ADRs.

Will there be a problem if we make them now with the 180+10 and later decide to change our POR reservation to allow for a Universal stay? Would it be safer just to wait for the 180 day mark for each day of our trip?

I would book now based on your current trip so you get what you want then cancel if anything changes. Easier to cancel than to book some of the more popular places! Good luck!!

No problem at all, the ADRs are not tied to the resort reservation in that manner. Canceling (or modifying) your resort reservation should not affect any ADRs what-so-ever.

Thanks for the replies...we're still watching rates on the Universal hotels, not quite ready to leap...good to know we can get on with making our ADRs anyway. Especially since we're taking DBf's family and they're all excited to eat at some of the places we've been telling them about since our last trip.

Made our first few now and getting mostly what we want

Yay!!! good for you ! I think just booking and re-arranging later will be the best for you. Atleast you know things are booked already if your plans dont change! Have a great trip!
