Changing people on reservation

We are booked at CBR Oct. 3-10 with free dining. However, my husband will be starting a new job and traveling overseas on or around our trip. If he can't go, can my mom take his place on our reservation? Is there a penalty for that? Will we be able to keep our reservation with free dining, or will I have to rebook? Our balance isn't due until sometime in August. Thanks in advance!

I would call Disney and just change the name. There shouldn't be any penalties because its not like your adding someone your just changing the adults name. For dining your fine cause as I said your just replacing one adult with the other. The only way you would have a problem with the free dining was if she was in her own room and did not have the free dining. I think the only way you will have a problem is if your flying in which the plane ticket might be an issue but nothing through Disney.

Yeah, the flight will be a problem if this comes to pass. We always do the cheapest fare, so I'm sure his plane ticket isn't transferable. Glad to know the Disney reservation shouldn't be a problem. Thanks.

Call the airline and see if he can use that for us upcoming business trip as you said. Once you make the plane ticket for your mom just call Disney Magical Express and change the names.
