Hello! I have a cruise booked for June 2017 for five people and two of the people in our party may not be able to go. I have someone else that may be able to go in their place, but would DCL allow that?

Thanks!

Yes, you can do a name change. I believe there's a charge for it, if you do it within a certain time (like 30 days?)

You can make whatever changes you wish prior to the Paid In Full date.

If one of the persons you are changing out is the "lead" (in other words the first person listed on the reservation), then in that case the whole reservation will have to be cancelled and rebooked at current rate.

usually you are able to change out EVERYONE on the Original Reservation EXCEPT for ONE PERSON and have it remain the original reservation and cost.

When did DCL implement a name change fee?

I think it's only if you change a name within something like 30 days of the cruise.

Oh I did not know this! Thanks ! Golly.

I'm not sure that's true any longer. I agree with jrabbit, you can change any of the names, regardless if they are listed first on the reservation or not. You just can't change all of the names.

That is a relief. Thank you for update. Not that I am removing my wife from the reservation lol...

For the last few years there has been a name change fee. We were past final payment for our August Fantasy cruise earlier this month when my future son in law could not go on the cruise. We did a name change and my friend took his place. $50 for the name change. Was much cheaper doing it that way than having my friend book as a new guest...it would have $2,000.00 more than what we originally paid for future son-in-law.

at least it is not hundreds of dollars like the rip off airlines do.

OP here. Thanks for everyone's responses. It's good to know there are options should the need arise!
