I currently have a room booked for our Nov-Dec stay through a travel agent. I want to switch over to the "AP best rate plan". Is it correct that only I can do this and not my travel agent. If so will they transfer my deposit over to the new booking?

Thanks

Your travel agent can do this for you.

My agent told me we could not transfer the money I already applied to my CRO res. So she booked me on the Best Rate plan and then cancelled my AAA room only.

My TA did the same thing, booked best rate with a new deposit and canceled AAA. Still waiting for the old deposit to be credited back to my card, it's been over a week. One other interesting tidbit with best rate, you can't make payments to this ressie just the deposit and pay the rest when you check-in :confused3

We did the same thing-took three weeks for the cancellation to get to my CC. I can't remember reading anything about not being able to make payments? I'd like to and haven't been told any differently by my TA.

I had read somewhere (mousesavers?) that you couldn't make any payments by phone on best rate but I figured there'd be a way to make them online. I asked my TA about it and she said no you can't make payments you just make the deposit and pay when you check in. Maybe this is so "if" it gets lowered they don't have to issue refunds? Or the computer system isn't set up to allow payments?

If you hear otherwise let us know. I'd like to pay this off before we leave to get the rewards $$ on my Disney Visa to use on the trip.

My travel agent was told she could not book me under the best rate plan. She was told by Disney (she called the AP number) that I needed to book these rooms on-line.

I need to book 3 rooms, each a split stay due to the Thanksgiving time frame. Can I do this on-line or did my travel agent get bad info.

Thanks

Looks like I can make payments through DU on my ressie-It doesn't not let me.

Anyone know for sure?

A TA can defianetly do this- in fact we can even do them with a voucher- not an activated pass. TA has to have online access though.

Unless Disney has changed policy, they do not accept payments -- other than the deposit and the final due at check in.
Just guessing that maybe a TA is accepting the payment(s), holding them and then paying the remaining balance due.
I don't know the reason Disney is not doing it, other than they probably just want the trouble and accountability to make payments. I could see where it could get out of hand and create extra work loads. (With no extra staff)
