Can you make a reservation without an AP code, then apply a code when it comes out? I am chomping at the bit to make my ressie but I would like to wait for codes. Technially, cost is not an issue. I'm going for a conference so work is paying for it. The conference is being held at a hotel that costs $176/night, so anything less than that is golden!

Can you change ressie's like that?

Twice in the past, I've had reservations, and then wanted to apply codes to the reservations later. The two times this happened, the CMs applied the discounts. I don't know what the official policy is. Good luck.

You'll have no problems as long as there are rooms left with the code when you call. My question is,why would you waste your time as work is paying for it? Since they're having the conference at the hotel you're staying at chances are you under a special rate code already. When my husband had a conference schduled with his company at The Contemporary this was the case. The worst part was, it was his first and we had extra nights planned and they cancelled at the last minute due to a hurricane.

You have an excellent point, cjsmith. I guess I'm just thrifty at heart! The conference is being held off-site, and I would like to stay on-site. That's why I am looking for a resort less than $176 a night, which is the discount rate at the Caribe Royale resort. With the money I save staying on-site, I can rent a car (so I can get to the conference!). No, seriously, my boss is Scrooge and so I am trying to save some money for him. When he wants to know why I'm staying on WDW property, it would help that I could tell him it was $70 cheaper than the conference hotel!

I'll make my ressie tomorrow, with or without codes!

I see, boy it would be nice if you did get to stay on site if your boss doesn't mind. I hope it works out for you! :wizard:
