Changing names om magicband from previous trip

I have 7 magicbandd rom previous trips and would like to change them too my grandkids that I taking to Disney world in September. I am confused seems yes and no is the answer.
Can someone help me out.

You cannot swap who a magic band is assigned to after it's been used.

They give you 10 dollars off each one if you are staying at a Disney resort at least.

This is no longer correct for Canadians. We are no longer eligible for the discounted bands. Disappointing.

No, it is the puck that is associated to the original guest, not the band. You cannot reuse the puck for a different guest.

You do not ‘need’ a MB for each person. They will be given free cards and you can use those. (Recommend taking a sharpie as there may be some duplicates if you have 5 cards). A MB is nice to have but not a necessity.

Personally, I would not spend money on buying MB's. Unless you are a frequent visitor, it's money better spent on other things. As mentioned they will give you cards for free or you can have your tickets added to your digital wallet. If staying onsite you can use the app to open your room.

If you go the card with the sharpie route to identify, put a piece of tape over the name to keep it from rubbing off. The front desk should have tape.

The cards each have a cute picture of a Disney character, but we had more people than there were characters, so the front desk CMs put our first names on the cards to help us keep track. The cards worked great! And no, you can't use another person's band. Been there, done that! As we were packing for one trip, DH accidentally grabbed one of my old bands instead of his, then couldn't understand why he kept getting the blue light. That was our first experience with the cards!

Just an idea ............................
I used to get the Magic bands but due to a skin allergy I can't wear them.
I have found the Disney Lanyards a great option.

Walmart
Amazon and
Etsy have them.
I like that I can add a Disney pin to them.

Thank you everyone. We did buy some magicbands. Since it is our first time with this set of grandkids. We went a couple of years ago with a different daughter and her children.now tkjmg oldest daughter and her 3 kids. I can't wait yo experience dianey with them. Ages from 7 to 17 3 kiddos going to be so.mych fun
