Changing my resort reservation @ 7 months….can I do this??

I’m going to try and keep this short and simple, thanks in advance for reading and offering advice!!

I have two DVC contracts (BLT and CCV)…Two friends and I are running the Wine & Dine races in late October, I’ve already got a studio booked at BLT for 10/22-10/27 (5 nights, booked using my BLT contract) but would love to move us to a Deluxe Studio at the Poly at the 7 month mark (assuming it’s available)….can I modify my BLT reservation at the 7 month mark right at 8am to a Poly studio and then call MS at 9am to swap out the points being used from my BLT contract to my CCV contract (along with some OTU points)?

I “think” I can since Poly isn’t my home resort but I’ve never attempted anything quite so complex with my DVC, is this possible?

I’d go straight to using my CCV contract at the 7 month mark but I need to buy OTU points and I’m worried that if I wait until 9am when MS opens to call in it will be too late.

As long as the contracts are in the same UY, yes, you can do this.

If the BLT contract isn’t locked when you go to modify, you should be able to swap them around on your own, use only some of the BLT and then call at 9 am to ask to purchase OTU points for a separate night and then cancel it to reallocate.

Thank you!! I have plans for those BLT points (they’re getting banked into the next UY for a big family trip in 2026) so I’m glad I’ll be able to swap to my CCV points once the home-resort advantage is no longer a factor.

I wouldn’t be quite as anxious about the whole thing but I’ve been watching the booking tool and there’s one night in our stay that is already booked up at the Poly so I’m a tad concerned.

Availability can be a concern and sometimes watching can cause stress

But remember, there will be PVB owners trading out as well so that will impact how many rooms gone now show back up!
