I'm planning a trip to Disney for New Year's Eve this year. Originally we were going to do a split stay with a stay at the Contemporary to see the 30th fireworks and then move to Beach Club for Epcot fireworks on the 31st. Instead we are going to go on a cruise a week later and don't want to stay as long for this trip to save on money. So I wanted to shorten the stay by one day and leave on the 1st and only stay at the Contemporary club level. Of course there isn't any theme park view club level rooms available for that date range.
So I downgraded to a normal theme park view, but I really wanted to try out the club level and it'll be shortly after we get married so a bit of a pre honeymoon trip and wanted it to be really nice.
What are the chances a room will open up?
There is club level theme park view available at the Polynesian. I've never stayed there before. Would the view of the fireworks from there be as good as the Contemporary where you're up high watching from the balcony? I don't think we'd go into the park to avoid the crowds and watch from our balcony.
