Changing members of dining party

Have been attempting to schedule reservations at a particular restaurant for a party of 4. I could can get a party of 2 or 3. I booked the reservation for 3 on MDE. I booked for my grand-daughter, my daughter in law, and myself (leaving my wife out of the reservation). Can I substitute my wife for myself in the dining party? MDE is not letting me do this, as the reservation is on my account. (I am more than 60 days out).

You don't need to change the name on the reservation. When the 3 people check in at the podium just have them give the name on the reservation.

If all 4 of you are hoping to dine at the restaurant you should keep checking online for a reservation for 4 to guarantee that you will all be seated. Otherwise, there is a possibility that one person will be turned away because of fire code regulations.

You can also look for another reservation for one or two at the same time as your current reservation for three. It will need to be booked in a different person's name and account. When you check in at the restaurant you can ask to be seated together which most likely won't be a problem since at most restaurants, parties of 3 are seated at a 4 top. There are a few exceptions where there are tables for 3 such as Boma and 'Ohana.
