I've just changed my MDE account to my married name, but now I'm worried it'll cause some sort of conflict with my annual pass if that was booked under my maiden name - has anyone else had any experience with this?
Eek, too late!I'm going to guess that a guest changing her/his name in DMX is an unwise thing to do, if there are in-use tickets (AP) tickets involved.

Probably...Can you change it back?
Probably...
What would the correct process be?
I mean to “officially” make the change I need to, in the right way, rather than the way I managed to...Can you just do what you did to change it to your married name?
Just call Disney. They can correct things for you. They may tell you to go to the will call window, but they might be able to help on the phone.
Do you think I should try and change it back for now?Just bring your driver's license and a copy of your marriage license with you. I would imagine the process of changing your name at WDW is the same process for changing it elsewhere. Go to Guest Services and tell them you need to change your name on your AP because you got married.
It’s only changed on your own personal MDE Profile line. Your AP info hasn’t been changed by Disney.Do you think I should try and change it back for now?
Ah great, so the fact I’ve changed it myself on MDE won’t cause any problems? It’s only changed on your own personal MDE Profile line. Your AP info hasn’t been changed by Disney.
If you don’t want to hassle with changing the name on your AP, just keep using it as is and use your new name for your next AP.
Do you only have an AP Voucher linked to your MDE? If so, just make sure the name in MDE matches the actual ID you’ll use to activate your AP.
For park entry and FPs, there won’t be a problem because everything is valid.Ah great, so the fact I’ve changed it myself on MDE won’t cause any problems?
It’s an active AP...
Thanks for the advice. We're actually DVC members, and my membership is already in my married name, so that was actually one of the main reasons I was changing it as room bookings weren't in the same name as the rest of my MDE account linked things. For park entry and FPs, there won’t be a problem because everything is valid.
When booking an onsite room reservation, use the name you have showing on your MDE as the resort reservation matches to the names on MDE.
Good to know, thanks!Having just done this myself last month, no issues. I updated my name on my profile before we got married, actually, and when we went to the parks the day after the wedding they called me by my new last name.
That is interesting - thankfully shouldn't be an issue for us as our room reservations are already in the right name. One interesting thing we ran into after I changed my name was that it didn’t update a resort reservation I made before the change. We made the reservation as a bounce back during our honeymoon so it still had my maiden name on the reservation even though everything else had been changed. My husband had to check us in.
Haha, it does become a looong list!Uggh. Getting married in January, just added "update Disney records" to my name change list...i feel like it's going to take forever too get everything updated.
