Changing MDE linked reserveration

I created an MDE account a few weeks ago but our reservation has since changed to a different resort. MDE is still showing the original booking. What steps do I take to ensure MDE is linked to the correct resort? I want to be able to do online check-in, and make room requests.
 
When did you change it? It can take 24 hours for an update to show.

If that's long past, call. It's an IT issue and you probably can't just do it yourself.
 
I wasn't sure if it should update automatically but it's been way longer than 24hrs. I'll emailed the conference organizer to ask about the problem. Thanks!

That may be part of it. Hard to say the frequency with which the conference organizer batch updates.

When I've changed resorts the change showed up within minutes of my call - -but thats when I'm dealing directly with Disney.

If you're going thru Disney's ConventionEARS, you may need to place a phone call. My original reservation for a conference in December was for 5 nights at the GF. My husband decided that he wanted to do a split stay with Poly (also a convention hotel). I made the change online but MDE never altered the GF nights. I had to call for them to make the change in MDE. It was handled easily but would not have occurred had I not called.
 
The conference is being organised by a Canadian company that doesn't seem to be affiliated with Disney. The rep told me that the updated status is taking longer than he'd expected but should be changed by Wed. I wonder why there's such a delay? Either way, it looks like it'll be done, I just hope he can take care of it on his end.
