Changing info on your ADR's???

Hi everyone!

I made my ADR's for my November trip a couple of months ago, right after I got married in May, actually. So since I just got married and I hadn't changed my name yet, I made my ADR's in my maiden name. Now I have my husband's last name, and I was going to just keep everything in my maiden name, since they never really ask for ID or anything, and I was going to bring a copy of my marriage license, just in case and not worry about it.

The problem is, I'm switching internet providers in a couple of days, which means I have to get a new email address, which means I have to tell Disney I have a new email address...is this going to affect my ADR's??? Will I have to call Disney dining separately and tell them I have a new email address? And will the fact that my name doesn't match mess things up? Should I call Disney dining now and change my name over, and then in a few days when I have my new email change that too, so it's not all at once?

I'm just afraid something is going to get messed up and I'll lose some of my ADR's since so many things are changing...my name was one thing, but my name AND email?

First off, make sure you copy down all confirmation numbers to somewhere safe. These are the things that really matter for your Dining Reservations. You can pull them up again with the confirmation # plus the phone number used to book.

Once that is done and your ISP change is secure, go ahead and change the Email if you'd like. This will allow them to email you with whatever (although, shouldn't be necessary).

The name thing shouldn't be a big deal, just remember which name you used to make the Reservation. Don't go saying you are Smith party of 4 when you're now Jones party of 4 . They typically cannot change the name on a reservation (to prevent hoarding and trading/selling), not sure of how this sitaution would affect that though.

I have all of my confirmation numbers, I make sure I print them out like, 10,000 times!

So all I need to do is change my email and not bother changing my name on my ADR's? Because a few of them are in my name now, but the majority of them are in my maiden name, you don't think that will be a problem? I'd really rather not have to change my name on them, and if you're saying it can't even be done, then maybe I shouldn't even worry about it! I just want to make sure I have everything the way it should be so I don't lose any of my ADR's because of technicalities! (I know, I'm sure I'm over-thinking this wayyyyy too much!)

Relax newly wed you will NOT lose your ADRs ..don't change anything re-them (Congratulations by the way) no need to bring a copy of your marriage license or anything else.well you should have your drivers license with you but they won't ask for it..you'll just give your name (on the ADR) at the restaurant podium keep your ADR confirmation numbers & times in your or DH's wallet...have fun!
